    i question the wisdom of this. how many companies have the time to waste doing this vs going to a vendor and shelling out for an "assured" solution? it'd cost less in man hours to simply purchase windows than audit an entire linux distro for malware.

    i think the "but you can read the code" retort is easily answered with "but who's going to pay to read it?"

    what your talking is rubbish, because people don't dodge accidents (hence why they have them). by your reasoning because motobikes are so quick and agile they wouldn't never get in an accident.

    you MUST have the same safety on these electric cars as any normal car, they will be in accidents ranging from small fender benders to multi car pile ups.

    anyway it's a pretty moot point. this 300mpg thing is just a fucking toy, it only takes one person and has fuck all carry space.

    no it won't protect your eyes. the only way i know of is the old pin hole through cardboard type method used during a solar eclipse, but i'm not sure even that is safe without the blockage of the eclipse.

    you've got it all ass about face. the creator isn't the one responsible for the concept of "copyright" it's the public and the government which is backed by the people. i pay taxes which funds the government that protects those creators copyrights, so who the hell do they think they are, that they should keep benefiting for 90+ years from the protection i afford them?

    look at what site is number 2. no doubt at all bsd/unix is awesome, but win 2003 is NOT a bad web platform by any means, and for many purposes it's very effective

    nonsense. windows is very very firmly entrenched in corporate IT. a more likely explanation is that it's an odd combination that no one cares about. perl really isn't all that great anymore, it's syntax is more complex and it's got no speed or other advantages over the other 10+ languages that can fill the gap.

    and before you start ranting about windows is a poor web platform http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/today/top.avg.html.
