is undergoing final checks to determine if there are any last minute bugs to rectify.
Remember 'The Last Revelation' anyone? Classic bugs like platforms you needed to jump on over bottomless pits, that were actually invisible!
I really hope they get this game right though, but the constant set-backs are not exactly making me confident.
The same senator is trying to push through a bill demanding that hell freezes over sometime in the near future. Sources say he has much more chance with the second one.
People, and I mean the general public, are starting to wake up to the fact the word processing pretty much hit a peak with Word 97.
Considering office is one of the few things Microsoft makes money on (quite a lot of course), if they don't come up with something to keep it interesting, then they will be in a lot of trouble.
Or of course, a brand new technology that can be another profit maker for them. But it's been a long time between drinks I'm afraid.
Well I certainly do recognise the names and they are guys who do major work for jboss and jbossweb
(jetty).
Listed here
And they say they will continue to do so. Go to the jboss forums and search for a few of them to see how much they know about jboss.
Seems they just want to earn some money doing their own support, probably because they don't like the Jboss group model, or were not getting ahead with them.
I doubt this is a big deal. Probably just here on slashdot because
a) People like to wind up Marc Fluery
b) See above
All they are doing is starting their own company in order to make money supporting JBoss and a few other techs. Just like anyone else could. The only difference is that these guys actually have a lot of credibility around jboss, and hence someone might actually hire them.
No real drama here.
he has me convinced... ahem.
I think that lawyers do a lot more harm than video games ever could. After all, anyone can get away with murder these days because there will always be some souless bastard who will do whatever he/she can to get you off and get themselves more money.
There were a load of really critical bugs. Fair enough, a lot of games do that these days and are fixed with a quick patch. No big deal.
Of course, if you bought a console version...
'One thing that is worth noting is that Microsoft does do *some* work with Unix'
It's all well and good to have both points of view in an article, but come on?!? That would be one bloody big coincidence if Microsoft's intentions were anything but anti-linux on this one.
That anyone should care one way or the other. Guys like seeing semi-naked girls beat the crap out of each other. So what? We have made a form of entertainment, why should it then be tailored to include girls as well?
If they are not happy with the situation, then girls are free to make and market their own entertainment that tailors itself to their needs.
The bottom line is sex sells to guys. Games are just games.
If they sell me a DVD or CD, I'll do whatever I want to do with it. If I want to copy it, I will, If I want to crack the copy-protection, I will. If I want to sit around the house using them as frisbees I'll bloody well do that too.
If they don't like it, then stop selling me DVD's and CD's. Make it impossible to 'buy' them, and start a renting agreement. Then fair enough, I'll pay my money, agree to the temporary license and leave it at that.
So stop prenteding you are not selling me something. if you do, then it is mine.
When do we get RC4? It's so hard to sit through these RC2 and RC3 stories waiting to get to the exciting stuff.
and I want a toilet made out of solid gold, but it's just not going to happen is it?
Nonsense, any type of insane person could probably enjoy this.

If their estimates for launches in this month include the 15th of July.
They are still going to have to upgrade when Doom 3 comes out

So these would be the robots that are the most realistic artists then?
The answer can be found by exploring the difference in mindsets between both groups
The answer can be found by realising that some people release great software and do well, and others release crap software and do badly.

"Wow, murder 1! Even if I loose I'll be famous!"
They will need something catchier than 'DDDDF' for it to take off with the masses.
And if I'm wrong, may we all be horribly crushed from above somehow

The thing that always struck me is how come he was always starving if he could afford to buy jet-powered rocket skates?
Every tried to have 3 mates sit around a PC for a bit of multi-player fun? No?, guess not then.
Your kidding aren't you? Haven't you seen the Simpson's? This type of setup just won't work
