So, you're excited about being deflowered by a woman that is partly artificial, has ugly stretch marks from over-sized fake boobs, appears better looking in marketing campaigns that she actually does in real life and has a perfunctory view of sex? Yeah, that sounds about right.

  4. Stay away from Quicktime on Video Formats for non-Windows Users? · · Score: 1, Redundant

I know a lot of media companies seem to like Quicktime, but I think that's because they are probably Mac based. On Windows QT is unstable no matter what audio/video CODEC is used. I'd go with one of the MPEG standards because everyone can play those.

  5. A perpetuation of a fallacy on New Standard Keyboard · · Score: 1

Once again, and I know this has bee stated on /. before, the QWERTY keyboard was NOT designed to slow typists down. Here is an article that explains it in more detail - http://home.earthlink.net/~dcrehr/whyqwert.html

It just baffles me how many time bullshit can be submitted and accepted. I won't be switching to any other keyboard soon as it has taken me years to move from a hunt and peck to a half-assed touch typist. Not only that, but I love my MS Natural Pro and most ergo boards are either so far from a standard keyboard that it's like learning a musical instrument or just have a wrist rest. So, in conclusion no Dvorak and no 53 key keyboard for this guy.

  6. Fanboysim at it's most technical on A Look Into The Cell Architecture · · Score: 0

This article is hype and air. Remember how the Emotion Engine was going to change the fabric of space and time? This guy was full of crap the first time this article was posted and nothing has changed. Seriously, why does /. post this crap? Someone from another board put it this way - His theory about reducing latency by transferring in larger block sizes is fascinating. So an articulated lorry should go around corners faster than an Elise because it has more wheels then? Okaaaay.

I appreciate the suggestions, but it's just not worth the hassle at this time. I've alaways been diligent about what sites I go to, what I download and what I allow to run in my browser. Combine that with my AV and firewall and I've never really had any issues. If it comes to the point where it is an issue I'll switch, but I'm not anti-MS (not really pro-MS either) so I see no reason to adopt FF just for the sake of doing it.

Why would you use a general purpose CPU like this for a GPU? You'd get far more mileage out of dedicated hardware and even if the API hid everything it would chew cycles to translate what would be native on a GPU.
