This is insightful? I realize it's sarcastic, but Lotus 1-2-3 is one of the reasons personal computers are so popular today. So, unless you have some achievment that can match that with you might want to take it down a notch.
I find it funny that Fox (and Murdoch personally) push a hard line conservative agenda while his other properties continue to pump out the "filth" that Fox commentators lament constantly. It's hard enough to put Family Guy and O'Reilly in the same headspace and now they want to get into gaming? Thanks, but no thanks.
After hearing stories of how G4 treats their staff, both on air and off I really don't want to give them any of my money. Wasn't the reason they bought TechTV because they wanted a bigger audience? And now they are returning to their previous format? Does this make sense to anyone? Sounds like poor decision making somewhere in the chain.
I thought that was part of the justification of a monthly fee? There is no way the average EQ player comes anywhere near the monthly fee for bandwidth costs. I just don't understand why people keep paying to get treated so poorly.
I too do not understand how anyone can make a grabe for anything up there. There are only a few countries that border the Arctic oceand and I assume there isn't much international water. Take a look at how far Canada extends to the north. Any attempts to use our waters and resources is a violation of Canadian sovereignty.
Just ask AMD how hard it is to chip away at the processor market. It's not enough to be a bit better or a bit cheaper, you have to be head and shoulders above whatever Intel does.
So many doomsayers over the years have talked about how PCs are going to radically change in the near future and it has yet to come to pass. PCs won't change that much (in the terms that this article speaks of) until there is actually a need. Right now there is no outstanding need adn let's be honest, what ISP wants to take on more tech support roles?
The $10 billion doesn't include hardware and accesories. So, the games industry still isn't as big as Hollywood all around when you add in everything, but let's compare apples to apples.
For pro and semi-pro work for a while now. This might be useful for consumers, but it's still a long way from the prosumer features and quality I want. When they come out with a XL-2 level camera with removable drives I'll bite.

Has anyone actually seen any 3rd party confirmation of this?

Oh and for those that say it's about the DVDs and not the movies, it's about both. Insightful commentary on a shitty movie means very little.
Even better, Pearl Harbour at #22. This is just laughable now.
Okay, that invalidates the list right there and from the score on IMDB I'm not the only person that thinks so.
How is this news for nerds or even stuff that matters? It's an opinion piece by some guy that is an Apple fan and runs an MP3 new site. It's fluff.
Perception is everything, have a look at what happened to the Dreamcast and you'll see a lot of parallels in the Gamecube.
Analysts, especially mainstream analysts, just don't get the videogame market. They are usually so far off the mark that it's laughable.

Do we really need another disposable chemical in our ecosystem? This can't be a good thing in the long run.
I stand corrected, apparently there still are bits of code in there from Quake 1. Why they'd do that I don't know.
They rewrote anything that belonged to id. I'll guarantee that 100%. Why would they risk a lawsuit or be stuck paying royalties?
Oh, and does anyone else get the feeling that this pointless and redundant article was posted because of the anti-MS sentiment?

Because everyone that dislikes CLI is unworthy... right?
You would have a point if he'd actually been sentenced, which he has not.

Wow, if that is what they really look like they are not enticing to me at all.
No hell references, not the same type of space marine? What exaclty does it share with the games? Shotguns?
When a western celebrity dies in a car accident it's a tragedy. When 10,000 people with brown skin die somewhere else it's really just a shame.
