  1. rated mature on Kids Kill, Victim Sues Game Maker · · Score: 1

some of you make the case that parents shouldnt let their kids play mature rated games. Haven't you considered that maybe the parents DONT allow such games? the kid could have gotten it off kazaa and played when the parents were at work for all we know (and the parents dont). there is some responsibilty to be put on the parents, but ultimately we are all accountable for our own actions.

it isnt an organized religion, but it is a set of belief(s). the beleif that there is no god. so rather than serving a god, they serve themselves (and maybe others) and in essence become their own god. ever hear the phrase "taking care of number one"?

  3. no public schools on New Hampshire to Follow Maine's Lead · · Score: 1

Although not constitutional, it is commonly accepted that there is to be a seperation of church and state. This means that there shouldn't be a religion/church which is funded by taxes. Wether you like it or not, secular humanism is a religion(def.4), and it is being taught in schools. Also, to a degree, atheism is taught in public schools, and this too is a religion (although perhaps not "established"). There is no reason my taxes should be paying for a muslim/christian/hindu/linus based school, so why should they be paying for a secular humanist school? Taxes shouldn't pay for it, hence the reason there should be no public schools. The solution is this: if you want your kids to go to school, pay their way. if you cant afford to, maybe some other people from your religion will help you out.

for the most part i agree with you. if a movie is real good and has re-watch-ability, i will buy it. even at the "steep" price of ~$30 usd i bought the etended version of FOTR. I also bought Equilibrium because it was so good i loved it even though when i first saw it, the audio/video quality sucked anus (it was the worst screener ever). usually i shop around on the net to find the best deal, but when i saw Equilibrium at blockbuster, i figured they diserve the extra money and payed a premium of $22. My third and last example to show what i would pay is this: Being bored i once downloaded a movie i thought looked interesting. it turned out it suxx0r3d. am i glad i didnt give them any money.

also, i wanted to say that i wish to check out this movie when it comes out, it sounds interesting. havent seen the series, but maybe i will soon enough ;)

would it be possible to use UML on top of OpenMosix. Theoretically this should allow you to have several cheap intel/amd boxes acting as one (so shared resources) and then running multiple linuxes in UML would allow for an efficient use of those resources. In the end, would this not be close to the Z series, just cheaper? I imagine it might be a bit trickier to admin, but it would be interesting.
