Improving colored Kindles? Amazon seems to be doing fine with progressing with the E-ink in their Kindles, why on earth would they want to try to compete with Apple? They should try to complement Apple. This Android Tablet will be yet another HP Touchpad boondoggle. As everyone knows, Apple has the supply chain fixed, no one can under price them. It just seems odd to me, that a wholesaler discounting website seems to think they can compete at Apple's bread and butter. Unless of course that it is not meant to really compete, just distract.
Steve Jobs is the embodiment of the American Dream, there are scant few individuals on this earth than can attest to the scale of success that he has achieved. Others can better write platitudes of the specifics than I; however it is always a sad day when a great leader is forced to step down, especially when they are at the height of their success. Such is the human condition I suppose.
I think iOS is set for the next 10 years. After that, the path is obscured by the sands of time. Well...unless Steve made some super secret long term development plan that is...
Well on one hand, its better to do these things while everyone is still healthy and of sound mind. It's a sad day for sure, but on a positive note, Steve has set a high bar for Apple to maintain. Combine this news with the fact that Steve's official BIO has been pushed up to be released sooner than expected...it doesn't look good.

They need more energy credits. I know that Chairman Yang has repeatedly suggested that a series of three boreholes are completed near the capital, which would allow the commencement of discovering the secrets of pre-sentient algorithms. Once this happens, it's only a matter of building enough condensers to harvest the required food to grow a larger population of Thinkers. With a viable mind/machine interface in addition to the overwhelming benefits of telepathy in battling the the Hive drones, transcendence is assured. The discovery of the Higgs will be a happy coincidence, not to mention the realization of finally being able to live peaceably with the mindworms.
We will 'purchase' an identity from a low jurisdiction country, like the Cayman Islands for a small price. The privacy package will come with artificial DNA linked to a new persona, a physical identity realistically rendered with the latest human image algorithms, and a voice-box culled from a combination of our favorite movie stars. Using such an Alias will be most beneficial to individual privacy, but won't help Google's bottom line. Increasingly, those who care about the integrity of their identity will have to be social by proxy!
Great response. At least there are a few moguls out there who are trying to make a business out of space. Tourism is a noble business, if not as romantic as groundbreaking scientific exploration. I can't wait for the space hotels. Once big business figures out how to get the infrastructure in place, other advances should follow in quick succession. There will be a tipping point.
Where are the private investors? The billionaires with more money than they know what to do with? How come none of them are sponsoring anything related to space? Is it just too high risk? How much would $20 billion buy? Or even $10 billion, or $5 Billion?
They have the nuclear technology agreements and other cooperative agreements. It's all good. China, Iran, N. Korea are the REAL future threats -- and India just so happens to be stuck in the middle.
Apple already has patents on 3d touch technology, physical buttons are history. The future is touch, sensors that can detect where you are in a 3d space and adapt to your movements. With this technology perfected, any interaction can be replicated. It's the future, and Apple is leading the way.
