  1. Re:Protective Fencing? on Wind, Solar & Biofuels to Power Remote Cell Towers · · Score: 1

No worries, electric fencing always has a power backup (atleast 12-24 hours)... there would also be a transmitter attached to an alarm, so if anyone touched the fence, they first get shocked (that would probably knock them out) and an alarm would go off alerting security. Remote regions of Nigeria are very dusty and harsh in general, so I suspect there would be weekly (if not daily) inspections. If someone really wanted to put the tower out of commission they could just fire-bomb it.

You get what you pay for. Sure, some experts may volunteer to edit a few articles in their off time, but that is hardly enough to make most entries anywhere near credible.

I predict that WIKI will become more of a 'pop-culture' database. Forget reading properly researched and documented articles on 'global warming' or 'evolution'. Rest assured though, crazed fans will document every nuance of Babylon 5 or Star Trek info that exists. Want to know how many PIPs Data has on his shirt in the last season of stng? Go to wiki!

I may be wrong, but you sound as if you have very many choices as to your work situations or your economic needs are fully realized. (You, your family is loaded) Understandably, the world is a much prettier place with infinite potential under these conditions. There's a good reason my original post was modded insightful. The statements ring true for the moderators. Very many others without mod points would agree as well. Consider yourself lucky and privileged.

IMO your post is insightful insomuch as it exemplifies the mentality of the subjects of the article of those who become burned out perfectly.

The world wasn't meant to be so, perhaps you just need a different perspective.

All employers may not feel it is their duty to ensure their 'workers' are happy. However, the best employers will attend to their employees and inspire them to be the best... If your boss isn't doing that, then they aren't meeting THEIR potential and everyone is losing out.

A CEO who inspires their employees to excellence deserves every $ they make. But they don't accomplish this through fear.

Frankly, you just sound bitter. :/

    Think about it!

Sniping would be obvious. Find perfect location to hide and comoflauge yourself. Learn how to utilize the environment.

Set traps and collect components to make different kinds of IEDs (like Alchemy in Morrowind)

Stealth and sneaking (classic Theif skills from D & D and others) -- could even use spells and mimic an illusionist!

Conversation, interrogation, misinformation, spying skills (think Bard without the harp)

roleplay elements abound - blend into local population, disguises, bartering, persuasion.

Team element - coordinate operations to complete objectives, missions (think quests)

Obviously the game would default to 'realistic' and 'no-reload' setting. ;)

    Oh and make it moddable!
