I find the word 'authorized' odd. The previous clause said 'required'. As though they'll do it if they are allowed, not just when forced.

I did. I'll admit my naivete in that before I read this thread, I pretty much took for granted that the ratings on Amazon were a relatively accurate overview of the quality of books. I'll still look at the ratings as I've found they do match up pretty closely with the quality of the books. However, I'll just give them a little less credence.

Don't mistake the design faults of this version to be "VB-style" properties being a fad. Indeed, there are some issues with the design and UI, some quite glaring. However, the property page paradigm is quite useful. They just need to get it right, your multi-property example being good. Also, your numbered points are all pretty much rooted in the core flaw with "round-trip" HTML editing that has been present since v2002. [asbestosSuit] As I understand it, this is to be fixed in the upcoming release. [/asbestosSuit] Granted, if they let this one slip by again, I think you'll see a mass exodus of web developers from the product.

I suppose it comes down to how "priorities" are handled and what is the right amount of resources to be spent on issue A versus issue B. *Of course* terrorism is a top priority. But how much more effort should be expended against it than going after drug paraphernalia (which is another issue altogether) or after spammers? Obviously more, but how much more? $1B versus $50M? The bulk of the FBI's resources versus a couple of agents on their days off? You didn't see every FBI agent in the US descend upon Arizona. But I suppose the resources that were expended were too much for the OP. I think the key issue is whether they should have been there at all, based on the issue itself, not on its priority.
