I see 911 as the biggest problem. If you are sharing the phone line with a normal internet, and you need to call 911 while someone decides to download the RedHat ISO's, you are in trouble.
Last time I say a 2000 restart for no reason was when I was doing a simple search in the public library. I typed in a few words clicked search and the box went down...
I realy like the way they are heading in the developing way. They are acctualy taking their users' security seriosly since they have a real threat now (Linux).
But this dosn't mean that I will start using XP. They might be good at programming, but their marketing sucks. I am not gonna pay $200+ for a empty shell and then $40-$200 for another application.
Anyway, good job M$!
Sorry, wrong story. Mean for the Gates of spam one.

..who does the money go to, the email provider? This is all to M$'s advantage. What is one of the most user email providers? Hotmail. Who owns Hotmail? M$

...SCO decides to sue a End-User and that user is you, what would you do? I know that they have not much money, bu they still have more money than you.
I just finished watchin RAW and the line-up for Wrestlemaia XX looks quite violent. But all the matches combined look like childs play to what a Fortune 1000 company can do to SCO. I mean, those guys server got roasted with MyDoom.A (the ones left after getting slashdoted almost every day), they are unpopular and they don't even have ANY evidence other than bunch of spaces in the kernel that wasn't even proved to be theirs....
Hotmail did that to me. Most of my important mail ended up in Junk and all spam in Inbox. I just turned off the filter and setup fex filters in evolution. Now when I download my email with hotwayd, I get all the email I need.
I use my TV also as a message board. When I go somewhere and want people to know where I am, I just write a message on a paper, turn the TV on, put the paper on it, and turn the TV off. It sticks on for some reason, does anyone know why?
How about Linux? It dosn't really have official HQ other than kernel.org and maybe the OSDN Labs, but I am sure there are Chinese distros that probably modified the kernel. Does that count as Chinese software or is it still 'American'?
PS: my experience has shown that Linux is the cheapest, most secure, and most reliable system to run. #2 would be OS X with Windows boxes coming in a very distant third.
Are you saying that BSD and other *nix are after windows?
Frontpage or other tools (Dreamweaver) are very helpful to the professionals because they don't have to type up all the code. I read that in "Professional JavaScript" and that they are called Rapid Developement Tools or something. But I agree with you, you should have at least some idea what you are doing.

What does Mono stand for? I heard it stands for 'Microsoft, Oh No'

They also have said that these first two lawsuits will be against companies that hold SCO Unix licenses.
Wait, they are going to sue their customers?
Does anyone know who they will sue today?

...does anyone know of a docklet for GNOME2 that shows the current headlines from a site (slashdot.org)? I remember something like that in GNOME1..
RSS is good now, but I don't think it will be long before someone figures out how to add spam and adds to it...
WE'VE JUST got word that the Software Development Kit (SDK) for Microsoft's forthcoming Xbox 2 has now been released to Developers.
Who told them about it? Also does Microsoft have anything to say?
the SDK apparently also features an Apple logo on a side bar within the application
Does anyone have a screenshot? I would like to see what size M$ put the logo.

...if I don't have a mobile phone, I wouldn't get fired?
W3Schools is a good source for quick reference. I quite lokie their reference sheets for JavaScript and CSS, it makes finding thinks out quick,
...how much less trouble would I have switching from Linux to Windows?

Is sourceforge gonna offer this service in their project hosting instead of CVS now? Or will they allow both?
Does someone have a mirror? This story is 5 minutes new, and the site it slowing down (aka took-me-5-minutes-to-load).
