    A pointless tip for anyone:

Don't you hate it, in the middle of the night you have to have a piss. So you get up and can quite easily make you way to the toilet just by ambient light. You flick the light switch in the WC and do your thing. You finish and then switch the light off. Instantly you are thrown into total darkness. You stumble your way back to bed, hitting your shins and stepping on as many things as possible on your way. What can you do?

A simple solution is to close one eye before turning on the light. Keep this eye closed tight as long as the light is on. After you switch the light off, open your eye. You can still see quite well in the ambient light again with the eye you had closed as it did not adjust to the brightness of the light.

The basic vista keyboard looks just like the professional business vista keyboard, but you cannot use more than a single key at once and you have to call microsoft hardware support to activate your end user license before all the keys work. Also if you do not activate it before the 30 day trial the only text written to an application upon use of the keyboard is "activate.microsoft.com"

  19. Re:Red lights on The Illuminati Project Pushes For Dark Skies In 2009 · · Score: 4, Informative

correct. The pupil is effected (affected? - who gives a fsck) by the blue scale. The use of a red light for night time map reading etc allows the pupil to remain open and there is no visibility lost when the light is switched off.

Try for yourself. Get a torch and a red filter and a blue filter. Go out at night and let your eyes get used to the darkness. Shine the torch through the red filter such that you cannot see any white lite. You will be able to see quite well after you switch the torch off. Now try with the blue filter. Once you switch the torch off you will have to wait until your eyes adjust to the darkness again.
