Don't bother buying it. It's one of the worst recordings made this century.

This is a sad day, Rush and "worst recording...ever" in the same thought. *sigh* Maybe a live DVD might be better then. I need to hope anyways.

Well said, keep the source clean and leave the volume to the listener .

I have not heard the album yet, (this won't stop me from buying it though) but if the sound is clipping that often I would hope that they had some plan for this record. The talent in and around this band would make me think this might have been done for a reason. What that is, I don't know.

It is not only how monopolies work, but how many large companies deal with suppliers. Go ask a Tier 1 or 2 auto parts supplier. They get told how much to make, when to make it and how much they will get paid for it. And then are told next year, we want 15% more product at 20% less cost. Deliver or die.

OK, is this ironic? My uncle quit stock car racing because my aunt was worried to much about him. So he decided to be a track announcer, and during the first race a car lost control and hit the tower. He broke his leg.

Maybe, maybe not, I also think this would reduce support as you can eliminate probles related to your PC as you can try another one, or blame it on the ISP.. I would also suggest that a person with a multipc setup is probably smarter then the average computer user and would call support less.

I would disagree, most people either don't say they have a router or believe the salesman about the ease of use and reliability of their $50 router. Or, that just because one out of three computers in the house can't get online, it must be the "internet" that is the problem.
I'd say the main reason for sniffing out NAT is to get the money for all the extra IP's people would need.

Heck, i'd counter sue stating that since these CD's did not have any copyright protection on them that it is the recording industry itself is to blame. Let's see, make it a $98 Billion countersuit. Is this any more bizzarre?

I will admit that not every component works, but I generally have a usable system. I have walked up to a machine that someone else had a failed install and it works for me. I started with Mandrake 7.2 on an Inspiron 3800. Over the past few years I have tried, Red Hat, Lycoris and Debian (Gentoo and Slackware don't seem that forboding now). I was even happy with getting FreeBSD 4.5 running, even without network access. I will admit I generally stick with the defaults on install, and it seems to work. I just installed Mandrake 9.1 on the laptop, and let it repartition WinME. And whaddya know, it worked!
