I own a second-gen. Couldn't agree more, couldn't live without it.
Plus, Dell doesn't have the OS.:)

Don't forget, though, there are the somewhat defunct A, B, C, and D tones that are one harmonic higher than 3, 6, 9, and #, to make for a total of 16. You're right, though. I'm only half trained on it, but if I've got a few minutes to waste I might try. I'd say musicians would be great at this, because they already need to tune instruments, so they could identify the key of each tone.
Still, for On Demand, a subscription to most of those 300 channels is required. Add to that that you can't get On Demand programming on a channel you don't subscribe to, and it seems like more of an extra than a service.
Of course, you have the choice on whether to pay that $1 whenever you want. If you're sure you want 480 songs in a year, then eMusic is for you. I buy a lot of music (I've spent over $100 at iTMS), but it's never guaranteed that I'll buy something in any given month. Plus, eMusic doesn't have all of what I want. They've got a lot, but iTMS is expanding, so, hopefully, they'll get some NOFX.
I've heard that, if you say "Litigious Darl" three times in a dark room in front of a mirror, a mysterious check will be drawn onto your bank account. Wooooo.....
I've got the same iBook, and VLC works very well, with the exception of HQ DivX encodes. MPlayer OS X is a lifesaver then, as it seems to be a bit smoother. MPlayer's not full-time for me, though, since the lipsync sometimes falls out, which VLC avoids quite well. Is there an audio-sync function in MPlayer that I don't know about? Turning on the slow-media cache helps, but isn't a sure thing.
CompUSA does indeed track your buying habits
If you pay cash and lie about whatever demographic they ask about (zip code, phone number, etc.), they really don't.
On this page, there is a paragraph of text. After a little digging, I found it came from Gulliver's Travels. Another piece?
Oh, it's on!
Reminds me of an old episode of Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.
No, but it'll let you save all your friends from a fire.

It'd be interesting if they added still photos to the digital broadcast, as a supplemental thing.
Then, Ruby Rhod can rule the airwaves and I'll have a chance to make it to Fhloston Paradise!

No. 128kb/s isn't that good.
I love it when people forget we're talking about AAC, not MP3. 128 kb/s AAC far surpasses most 192 kb/s VBR MP3s.
That was from The Decline, though. The greatest 18-minute song of all time.
Did anyone notice the Expose demo movie on the desktop? Where's his R & D coming from?
The web is usually an "alias" for the internet.
But what about Gopher? And WAIS?
People will get confused!
If I wasn't out of mod points, you'd get 'em all. Fucking hilarious.
Yes, it is. I posted vaguely because it sounded a bit funnier.
This'll save Leonard Shelby hundreds on tattoos. And Polaroid film.
I've had people read them as backslashes, and get angry at me when I try to tell them that it's not a backslash, it's a frontslash.
Me, I like Liquid Sky and Eelpout. Beats numbering, especially that "CS" stuff.
$50-90 million? Or 50-90 million customers?
They lost both.

Hm. It hits about 65% on my iBook/500 under 10.2.8 6R73. And this is the machine with the 66 MHz bus!

I guess it's redundant because it's what we're all thinking.

15 months from now, the moon'll be there, but there will be a C, an H, and part of an A carved on it.
