Well they shouldn't be lax with anyone on this. But do you have specific examples where they have been unfair? Or a site that could show this? John's blog unfortunately seems quite sparse (though maybe his.plan would be a better source).
With specs its a bit more difficult, but with books its not really that hard to get 2 copies from 2 seperate sources. Diff the two and you can create a unique sig than matches neither.
Wow, every party of your post sounded terrible. I know jobs are tough to get but if you hate answering stupid users questions I would suggest looking for a job with a small company. A much larger signal to noise ratio in my opinion and if there are a few lusers then you can learn specifically how to deal with them.
Also I read your post in the same voice I read BOFH.
While its true that the UAC stuff is way over done, there is a way to calm it down. The following page shows how to turn off UAC for certain apps that you always use, that way when it does pop-up you may not auto-click "ok".
I agree, and even more so what about those of us who were responsible and have zero debt? We _need_ to get compensated for that. I believe we should get a significant tax rebate, how about 5% of our gross income for the year.
Ok so its copyright, that's fine. But how could that possibly restrict access to the constituent? Unless this is classified data it seems like it would be illegal to prevent taxpayers from viewing _any_ government document as long as they make a proper request.
I say they should reboot the final fantasy series. They are up to what, FF 14 now? Go back and do the early parts of the storyline with the cinematic gameplay we have today and you have a winner on your hands.
2 is still pretty much a baby, not even a kid. Anyway you kids will keep getting older as pixar keeps releasing movies so I doubt you will have to worry for too long. Their audience is people who enjoy their movies, I for one like the fact that they can be enjoyed at 10, 20 and 50 years old.
Can we get a comparison of the number of crashes caused by humans to the number caused by computers? Hell even this is still human error, the pilots on board should have been able to circumvent the computer enough to fly the plane (not the pilots fault in this case). Nevertheless, the track record is still very good for computers.
The worst are the ones that force you to have a "secret" question. Oh like its that hard for an acquaintance to guess your high school, or your mother's maiden name?
Usually I just create a second password (I'm sure somewhere my mother's maiden name is inwyd15), but even that is one more thing that can get loose.
Ouch. I'm specifically talking about non-habitual lack of sleep, lets say one night out of a month. Continual poor sleep definitely is bad, and something that is hard to fight.
There have been a few times when I've had bad insomnia and thankfully my job allows me generous flexibilty in driving into work (i'll work from home till I feel well to drive).
Lets get some fresh stories.
I could probably check to see if they still have a paywall, but fuck that.
So which is it, irony or coincidence that I am reading this online within minutes of this being posted?

This is quite disingenuous. If you convict one religion (yes, it is a religion as much as any other) of fraud you have to convict all of them.
s/party/part (sigh)/

If you could print money legitimately, wouldn't you do it?
I'm very interested to hear your definition of windows that makes it not "true" multitasking while some other operating system would be.

So I guess we should now be recommending Chrome to our non-security minded relatives? Or if not that, what?
Everyone is stupid and selfish, its just that you get better at hiding it as you get older.
My guess is that was the language available on the system.

RMT is essentially unfettered inflation. Its printing money.
And that takes into consideration volume of flights? For some reason I don't think even 1988 had as many flights as 2008.

What a sickening sense of entitlement. I have an iPhone (1st gen) and I'm going to get this upgrade but I probably wouldn't if I had the 3G already.
Anyway without spending a dime on a new phone everyone will get the software v3.

42 you say?
