The only part that is a parody is the Indian that said "This was my land" and then the symbols of consumerism (ads) arise and they all say "But now it's our land".
The US Founding Fathers wanted copyright to last only 14 years. There's no reason for a longer term.
A shorter term of copyright protection would in fact encourage creation. Every artist/writer that lives on twenty years old works and has nothing new does not deserve this subsidy. As, when the artist is dead and the great-great-grandsons get the money -- what's the point ?

Unfortunatelly, the main problem on open-source is simplicity, as many contributors to this community would rather choose an insignifiant performance increase instead of simplicity.
The first time I saw one of these was in Luxemburg. It was a Saturday morning, around 10 AM and there was nobody around. I guess the Luxemburgers like the luxury of getting up late on Saturdays:-).
Anyway, as an Eastern European in a Western country, I was waiting for the light to change to red for a couple of minutes. It didn't. As there was no car and nobody around, I crossed the street and noticed the button on the other side.
