Anyone else find it funny[ironic perhaps?] that safety equipment was used to hurt people?
Imagine a man all in black creeping across a darkened Starbucks parking lot with a seat belt. He's on a mission and his mission is an Iced Latte are you going to stand in his way?
You're sure to be doing the Safety Dance when this baaaaad motha' comes to town.

Where our opinions differ is in regard to Snow Crash. I absolutely LOVED that story. I had no idea you could make a pizza delivery guy interesting! I've never read Diamond Age nor Zodiac yet.
Due to my enjoyment of Quicksilver and the quotes at the beginnings of chapters I'm (re)visiting some classics. Canterbury Tales is a BLAST.
If you gave up after 100 pages that's why you didn't like it. The first 200 pages are _just_ setup. Do yourself a favor and read the whole thing. It's very worth it.
This/.'er likes details, half-way feasible stories, and real characters.
Then why do their classic rock stations like this one play Hootie and the Blowfish, and other stuff that's only a couple years old? Do you think classic rock fans want to hear this shit?
They consider playing 3 songs from a dozen or two artists to be variety. The only two stations around here that are even tolerable are owned by a locally owned broadcasting company.
Yes but as XM becomes more mainstream are you going to listen to ClearChannel stations? I don't have XM and try to listen to Non-ClearChannel stations. ClearChannel stations have the most obnoxious radio shows, commercials, jockeys and play the narrowest selection of music.
XM has many stations that don't even have commercials and cater to any musical taste. In my area we don't even have an FM Jazz station...
I really enjoy The Darkness. I don't think they are anything like Zeppelin...Many of their lyrics make even less sense than Zeppelins.
What they really remind me of is 80's hair metal and maybe a little bit of Queen. I own their cd 'Permission to Land', all of the songs but one or two really kick ass. They also seem to have a sense of humor.
First they want to take all the good guys money and then sue any of the rest who don't give up all their money. Then they'll kill everybody and sell the parts on the black market.
I didn't read the article so I really have no idea who 'they' are.
If that's the way people us it then that's the way it is from a linguistic perspective. The stuffy english grammer whores won't catch on for a few decades...
I agree with you. It just needs to be done with great care. Just because it might be against the traditional unix model doesn't mean it can't be developed under the same principles that make unix great.
fo' shizzle ma' nizzle
yummmm, crunchy [drool]
Quake is how I learned to pick up chicks.
Don't underestimate the power of this line:
"Hey baby, wanna ride my rocket?"

(sorry I'm bored,[and stupid])
Rub some in an open sore and keep it moist for a week. Then come back and tell us!
What's good for you isn't good for everybody.
You might want to consider the validity of other peoples life choices and reconsider your xerox'd attitude.
I appreciate Quicksilver the same way you do.

This
Quicksilver is really an impressive book. I enjoyed it more than anything I had read in a LONG time.
And then VC++ or VCPP as I call it. The cong pee pee! Hee hee! Funnay!

They could always use the governments 'quake inducing satellites to knock California off the continental U.S. and become an independent nation!

I get the 'to' versus 'too' thing wrong all the time. I guess I should look it up because I have definately forgotten the rule.
Guess I was hanging around with the wrong crowd in third grade.
I don't know if I'd ever be comfortable adding water to an electronic device...
I've got to keep checking in case they post any of those groundbreakingly hilarious April Fools RFCs.

I wish I got paid to point out the obvious. Too bad I only get dirty looks instead of a high salary...
Sure did. Not because I don't know how to spell. It was simply carelessness.
My writing skills are fine. My spelling is poor.
Posting AC makes you look weak, pansy ass.
