What exactly does Oracle offer besides database offerings?
Application Server, ERP, some other stuff.
What they are talking about is counting Oracle Standard, Oracle Enterprise and other Oracle database editions as separate offerings to make MySQL look more important.
I don't believe Dell dropped 2000 quite like the way they tried to drop XP. Also, XP was not discontinued and MS was still selling XP, it's Dell who jumped the gun.
Completely missed it huh. MS has 2 Supported desktop versions of windows currently, Vista and XP. Apple has 2 supported versions currently (only ever has 2), Panther (10.3) and Tiger (10.4). The previous poster said it was good to see Apple patching Panther. Panther is a supported system, it should be expected that Apple continues to patch it. Giving Apple a hand for patching a supported system would be like thanking MS for going to the trouble of patching XP when Vista is the most recent, even though XP is still a supported platform.
2000 and ME have reached end of life. To compare them to an OS X release you would have to go back to Jaguar which Apple no longer patches.
Just incase you still cant get it:
Vista and 10.4.9 are the most recent and are currently supported - Patches expected
XP and 10.3.9 are the previous version but are still supported - Patches expected
ME, 2000 and 10.2 are even older and not supported - Patches not expected
Until 10.5 is released, 10.3.9 is a supported release. What you just said is like giving MS a hand for releasing patches for XP even though they just released Vista.
It is a very old constitutional amendment that was considered required in the event of a British invasion after the revolution. It has since grown and been indoctrinated in to many as a god given right, or to others as a 'protection' against the government, and further been perverted by some as a macho act that they are allowed to own an arsenal and carry weapons to kill their fellow citizens.
There is a Canadian comedian, and as much as I hate to quote him (he's not funny) he has said this, "There is one thing Charlton Heston won't tell you. The British aren't coming."

CentOS 5 Released
·
· Score: 2, Informative
While Red Hat do comply with the letter of the GPL (the provide the source code) they don't do it in a very friendly or helpful way
By providing SRPM's, Red Hat goes beyond the GPL requirements and makes it very easy for projects like CentOS to exist.
You're really going to have to find something else to complain about.
Actually, if you choose to configure X the default runlevel is 5. There are other things that require the X Server and Libs, but if you do not configure X it comes up in runlevel 3.
I'm going to focus on the most important part of your post
I too, would have liked a new OS X integrated Newton.
You don't know enough people.
Depends on if it gets to take the first class or economy class tubes.
When they work, they work very well. When the OS or an app dies, well lets just say they whine and complain as much as their users do.
Entourage is the biggest source of headaches. Get rid of that steaming pile and you're much better off.
Ya, if only they had a Remote Desktop application, or something that could push settings the same sort of way that the Active Directory does.
Even ssh would be a start.
Why doesn't Apple make these tools available?
What does something that individuals do or have done have to do with the country they were born in?
What they are talking about is counting Oracle Standard, Oracle Enterprise and other Oracle database editions as separate offerings to make MySQL look more important.
FFVII wasn't the best in the series, it was just the first one that so many played. It's staying power as an 'icon' is sentimental.
They've had some successes with sequels recently, all this is is SE stating that they intend to make some real sequels from the start.

Wow, what a news flash, the cost of developing software is covered by the consumers. I never would have guessed.
Well if they didn't, you couldn't make a pathetic attempt at looking like you care.

You got metal fever boy, metal fever!
DON'T DATE ROBOTS!

I mean this is amazing, no one has ever done this before. Those guys must be so talented.
Reading about his paranoia makes leaving the place in shambles seem almost fitting.
Na, not behind the times, just missing something.
It's called a sense of humour.
... was just a movie people.
Then again, you had to be really stupid to believe that to begin with.
They never sound right so it will never be cool enough.
