Maybe we should have a bit more respect this time.
Why? What makes Reiser above everything everyone else is subject to.
It's going to happen every time someone dies, is killed or whatnot. It will happen when you die, when RMS dies, when Linus dies and when any celebrity dies. It might be hard to take for those who knew the person, but the vast majority of the world didn't and shouldn't be expected to act as if they had.
So shipping a browser with the OS is anticompetitive and not shipping that browser with the os is anticompetitive?
MS could drop IE 32 and no one could do anything about it. They are not required to ship a product just so a plugin by another company can continue to exist. Not shipping IE 32 does not stop Adobe from making 64bit flash for IE 64
c) Always keep in mind that the old company can't tell them much (if anything) about why you left the company
This is like it's illegal to fire someone for being black, ie. complete crap. You can be fired for being any race because there's rarely a time that an excuse can't be found to get rid of you.
Same with this, your old company can say pretty much whatever they want, no one is going to call them on it. Shouldn't and can't are very different things that are not related.
What in the hell are you talking about? The Ubuntu that will ship not have Wine installed by default. The article does not say it will not have Wine available. You will still be able to launch Aptitude or whatever Ubuntu actually uses and install Wine from the Ubuntu repositories.
You can have a firewall that does not use NAT. Both sides are publicly addressable but there is still a security device between you and the outside world.
Yes. In America, cartoons are assumed to be for children, even when they obviously aren't (South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, a lot of foreign animated films and TV shows).
Microsoft is not one person. They can do a whole lot of unrelated things, and if they get the right people they could be the best at them all. The only thing stopping a company from doing a whole lot of things at once is money, and Microsoft has no shortage of that.
I read slashdot and I feel like everything is going wrong
It is

No ones forcing Google employees from disclosing salaries. However, presumably every Google employee agreed not to by signing that agreement, so doing so would probably be basis for dismissal as a breach of contract.

2000 has been end of lifed. It is not supported by MS and eventually others are also going to be dropping support for it.

The universe in Widescreen format.
Ya, if you're creating a desktop OS. Somehow, booting the thing on Blue Gene, I don't think that's Plan 9's plan.
It was in (though I don't know if it was usable) several developer seeds. Also it looks like ZFS related tools are included with Leopard.

that was used for this? I don't think I have to worry about the usability of 1024bit encryption for a while yet.
Given what most adults and High School graduates currently seem to understand about Science, nothing.

I bet if you replaced Microsoft with Red Hat and BITS with any local root exploit you'd be saying how much more secure Linux is.

I liked that oh-oh.

Be disappointed now, it'll make it easier later. Console yourselves with the original Castlevainia which I hear can now be downloaded on the Wii.

From the Star Trek 25th anniversary special, he's the one who couldn't figure out how to land the USS Enterprise.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his as ass it hopped.
Nothings perfect, those imperfections can be exploited. There will always be a need for security products.
Check what the kids and their parents agreed to before complaining. Most I've seen explicitly state that using external proxies is against the rules.
