I have serviced Verizon Cell Towers throughout the Midwest (500+) and they all had backup power sources attached to their towers. The backup sources depended on location, but a great majority of them included massive batteries along with generators.
After trying out all the clients I have come to love BitSpirit. It's coded in C++, which in my opinion runs with less of a memory footprint then most of the Java clients, it also includes every feature imaginable!
Check it out, its definitely a client worth looking at.
I don't see Trillian v3.1 as having an ugly interface, I actually enjoy it. It fits perfectly in with the default Win XP skin and looks way better than AIM ever did.
Both of these programs had their last revisions in late 2002, so it remains to be seen how effective they are now, or this is just some marketing BS...
I have both achipped PS2 and XBOX, and the PS2 is basically sitting their collecting dust these days! The XBOX is the only one getting any use and that's because I can play all my DiVX/XViD movies on my XBOX by streaming them using my computer.
If it wasn't for this feature alone I probably wouldn't be playing either of the two consoles, their haven't been any games lately that have caught my attention except for some yearly released sports games and Splinter Cell. Otherwise, my PS2 most likely won't get any use until the new Grand Theft Auto comes out, or they release a new Gran Tursimo for it.
Maybe modchips are causing the drop in sales of video games, but I would bet a lot of people are like me and only use them for the homebrewed applications that can be run on the consoles!

Joining a fraternity can bring th emost socialness out of a person. Yeah, fraternities are stereotypically considered as the partiers, but what better way then to interact with the 100+ members in that fraternity, and all the social functions that you may have with girls.
If this kid can't get along with actual every day people he will go no where in life, even if he is gifted, he will end up working some lab job, and the kid that was social, but may not have been as smart is going to be managing him. I see it every day going to a Top 5 Engineering University, being in the programs 90% of the kids will end up working factory jobs calculating shit all day long.
And you notice the kids in fraternities are the most social of any class, along with the added social benefits a fraternity will bring contacts in the real world. As everyone knows, it's not what you know, it who you know...
I'll just stick with my 99.9% accuracy with Popfile, it acts as a proxy so everything happens seamlessly, and the buckets are awesome for sorting your mail...
Well when @home went under my max upload rate was 15Kb/s, when AT&T took over the network atleast they upped the upload speed to 30KB/s, I would rather they increase the upload speed more then the download speed...
I currently goto Purdue and have to say its one kickass school, I could have went to University of Illinois and payed instate tuition but the beauty and social life at Purdue made the dcision for me, while costing me and my parents 26k a yr!:)
Actually their is a Playstion emulator for the Xbox available called Pcsxbox and it allows you to play your PS1 games or a shared network connection.

After giving up on Slashdot a little less than a year ago, I am back now to truly appreciating what I had! I look forward to the years to come...
