Fahrenheit 9/11 has a 50/50 chance of winning Oscar for Best Picture, and has re-definied the documentary genre.
It already won best picture at Cannes.
Forget that... it criticises someone you support.
Well... it appears that you are the one who has forgotten that "Free Speech" is protected in the Constitution. Unfortunately, some conservatives think the only "free speech" should be speech they agree with.

There will be no saving of paper with e-voting. They will have to print vast quantities of voter guides to instruct people on how to use e-voting machines. Paper ballots are much simpler and intuitive. Far less printed instructions will be needed for paper ballots.
Use some of the advanced printing technology used in all these new dollar bills on printing paper ballots that cannot be duplicated in bulk on a copy machine.

If the corporate televised media is so popular, and provides the viewer with the information the audience wants, why did Micheal Moore just make $100 million dollars with a documentary?
I don't think it's because Hollywood missed some huge documentary audience segment for the last 90 years of motion picture releases.
That segment of the 7 minutes Bush sat in the Florida classroom after he was told of the WTC attacks has been on the net in downloadable form since the end of September 1991. The reason nobody knew about video is because the major media refused to run that video and ask why the President did nothing while the WTC towers burned.
The Corporate TV Networks want Bush to win. They want Michael Powell to continue on a FCC Chair to allow further corporate media consolidation.
The decision of the FLA Supreme Court was to recount the entire state of FLA. It did not support "cherry-picked" anything. The US Supreme Ct. ordered the recount of the entire state of FLA stopped. A complete recount of the entire state was never done. THAT is the essense of the issue that the US Supreme Court stopped, and why so many people are still so angry about the decision.

Dunnigan's the alpha and omega for the old paper map and counter wargame grognard crowd. He founded SPI and headed it until TSR bought them out. SPI published hundreds of titles including the infamous "War in Pacific" (single ship, company level, week-by-week turns for the entire Pacific Theater in WW2. Over 5000 paper counter and a map that would cover the living rooms of most houses.)
Anyway, here's Dunnigan's tome on designing wargames. A third eition is out, but the 2nd edition is here linked free.

I don't see SciFi celebrating the overnight ratings on the show web page. The Sunday full replay won't get them because of part 2 of Angels in America. Was putting Part 1 of BG up against Monday Night Football a bad idea?
Any word on what the ratings were?
At first I just thought it was problems in the color controls of my TV, but I adjusted them and there was no change. I'm now pretty sure that Mary McDonnell's doesn't exist in the color spectrum. It leave the impression of "black hole with reddish-brown highlights." But no human being has ever been born with reddish-black hair
Is that the real color of dark matter or something? Or maybe Mary McDonnell is one of the 12 cylon models... an early one where they didn't quite have the concept of natural hair tones down right.
B5 characters were fine... it was the actors that stunk. When Bruce Boxleitner is an "upgrade" regarding acting ability, you're in trouble. The first captain of B5 (who's name has been mercifully driven from my mind) may have been the worst lead actor in series television... ever. Matter of fact, almost every member of the B5 cast that didn't wear alien makeup sucked. From that horrible retread evil Checkov to the Taxi cast refugee the B5 casting director save saved from a decent into staring in porn flicks, they were just hideous.

In the current atmosphere of political correctness, the character of "Starbuck" as it had been would have had to have been made to be bland as vanilla. In the 70's you could get away with having male characters screwing everything that moved without problems. Kirk's Enterprise was the cathouse of the skies.
Now, the only way they could make a "mainstream" TV character hero in the same mold as the original Starbuck without gting hit with protesys of outrage from one or another interest groups was to either make the character female or gay.
I prefer this new Starbuck to the other possibility. I'd much rather see a cigar-chomping woman than see Starbuck ranting at Col. Tigh about the BG interior design scheme.
The Prez ordered Adama to turn around. Adama ignored her. Within moments, Colonial One would have been vaporized if Apollo hadn't pulled the fake nuke effect wave.
Her first action after waking up from the wave was thanking Apollo for "saving their ass."
That seemed like a reasonable treatment of the cause and effect relationship of politicians overriding military experts in a tactical situation. However, the politician turned out right about "war being over" and not having BC head back to the fight around the colonies.
The moral seemed reasonable... elected leaders can be excellent grand strategic leaders, but can screw up bad when they micromanage. Leave the tactical decisions to the military.
Raph is SUCH a genious that he admitted on a thread that krayt dragons were, in his opinion, supposed to be the "big Nasty" of the SWG universe.
