I have yet to find anyone who thinks that it'd be anywhere near this bad if the industry was left to its own devices
Pleased to meet you, here I am. Industry would be just as bad. HP paid around 15 million for a golden parachute package for a CEO who dropped their stock to half it's value in his 11-month tenure, who they didn't even bother to interview before hiring, or find out why the last company let him go. The People at least get to vote in a new CEO and other managers every few years. That's more accountability than you get at a lot of companies.
No, you cannot 'just aerobrake' on Mars. The atmosphere is way way too thin. They can't even land a decent size probe with aerobraking, let along a human carrying vehicle.
It IS right to look at the scans AFTER you know which ones have a problem if your goal is to identify differences. An eventual later goal would be to prove that the differences are definitive and useful for diagnosis. That's not what these researchers were doing. RTFA. They don't claim that this IS diagnostic, but that their research results found differences that are interesting, and might lead down the road to predictive tests. They make no claim that it is a predictive test.
It's not export controlled if the algorithm is created/published in another country that doesn't restrict those type of exports. Which is why a bunch of guys from the U.S. fly up to Canada regularly when the work on new encryption types for OpenBSD.
The discussion is about encryption to Southwest, not to the nearest wifi router. Only encrypting to the nearest router would be equally stupid. They are talking about SSL, not WPA.
The japanese savaged Chinese civilians for years, as well as sending pyrotecinc balloons across the Pacific in an attempt to fire US cities. The got exactly what they had already been dealing out for years.
Of course Aristotle and Plato purchased books. Because some scribe had to spend a long time laboriously copying the original. They couldn't just download a copy off the net.
Did the original author get a cut of their purchase price? That's an entirely different question which would be relevent to the discussion, but which you don't know the answer to.
It's not just Verizon. We didn't get the Galaxy S II on ANY of our carriers until Months after Europe had them. That's even on our GSM carriers (AT&T and T-Mobile). Each carrier had to have the phone slightly modified (rounder corners, slightly wider, etc) so they would have a 'special' version of the phone. All our carriers suck, regardless of the frequencies they use or wireless protocol.
Sorry, should have said Turbo-Tax not Tax-Cut. Turbo-Tax mucked with folks hard drives. Tax-Cut is an alternative product which didn't screw around with things without permission.
Anyone who screws with the configuration or other software on my system without my permission or knowledge deserves hate. If you feel otherwise feel free to support him, buy software from Tax-Cut, etc. If someone screws with other software on my machine without permission I'll boycott them and make sure to inform others of the issue. I've gladly unblocked ad sites to support Hulu, etc, because they asked. I've got no problem supporting folks who ask for it. I have a real problem with folks who muck with my machines without asking.
TBH, most people that install noscript want bugs and functionality worked on regularly. Plus, I have a hard time imagining that they get much money like that as I don't recall ever seeing any ads on that page.
Then you have never looked at the page. It's full of ads. That's why the asshole that runs noscript silently killed ad-block without telling users, so that his ads would be seen.
I guess you want that EMT to show up at your car crash to just google how to patch you up if he didn't pay attention in class. Better hope he doesn't lose signal to his cell phone.

I'd think floppy controllers are still supported
Maybe some 3.5" controllers are (introduced in 1986). But 5 1/4 are a good bit older (introduced in 1976).
But bring a tripod, ***required*** for good shots with small HD cameras.
You should try one of those mini-steadycam rigs.

Filming is not interfering.
Bah, the bible editors left out all the best parts

When Tor began publicising it, giving out free first chapters of the book, they advertised it as being the first of a *9* part series.

FYI, no drugs are 'approved' for off-label use. That's what off-label means - not approved for that use...
Yes, his dad's physician can prescribe it if he thinks it's worth trying and is willing to take the risk in case things go bad.

Only stages I and II are based on the size of the tumor. Stages III and IV are based solely on the spread to lymph nodes and other parts of the body.

That would depend entirely on the company you happen to work for.
Sweet. We can get rid of the idiot Libertarians by shipping them all down there.
Oh come on. It was posted by Timothy. He's an idiot. What did you expect.

A Scotsman.
Secure enough in his manhood to wear a skirt.
Not secure enough in his manhood to call it a skirt.
Yes, but at least the adblock author doesn't mess with other software on your computer like the Noscript guy.

I didn't lie, and he secretly disabled other software on users computers.
You might want to bother checking some links before spouting off.
