    seriously, I don't know. I had a 350mhz XP and it wasn't much slower(but yes it was slower) than with w98, except for games, ofcourse.

    It is a lot of time.
    assuming you exercise for 15 minutes(what's not enough, it takes my dad 2.5 hours, including driving and dressing), you would spend 285 days doing it, and if it's 2.5, you would spend 68437 hours, 2851 days or 7.8 years!

    everything calculated as for a newborn baby, which has 75 years to live. correct me if my calculations are wrong

    considering that the case is the thing that lasts much longer than what's inside it, it's not a waste to spend $40 more on it and get something with a good power supply, design good technical solutions. Maybe it's not worth (not a waste though, you get what you pay for) to buy a $100 case for a computer that costs $200 itself. What I consider a waste, is buying a 3.2Ghz processor which costs 1.5x more than 3.02, which costs 1.8x more than 2.6. ok, maybe in this particular case(not the pc case) it's a waste, i havn't FTFA, and spending those $$ just on 'cool' design isn't smart.

    Here (in the Czech Republic) we are actualy happy with anythning other than dial-up, but cable/dsl is very expensive. I think I would prefer cable, but it's not availible here. Until this February (A)DSL wasn't availible in the whole country, not only on particular streets/blocks. Cable is somewhat cheaper but is availible only in limited locations.
