I use Firefox because it renders things slightly faster than Safari, and Safari for those weird websites that don't like Firefox for some reason. I haven't used IE for quite some time, even on my Windows machines.
Just post it. Let the trolls/whiners kvetch. It's kinda like those people who hate dupes and clog the forum with their bitching. So what? This ain't Newsweek; it's a digest of interesting web content. In the interest of laissez faire, the editors err on a hands-off approach. Just ignore the noise and move on. I could care less about people making money off of their Slashdot submissions. If I follow links and they're lame, I start ignoring the person who posts them. Pretty simple solution to me.
From what I can recall, the original band (Ednaswap) got screwed five ways from Sunday and didn't see a dime from "Torn". And believe me, they did complain.
I was never much into pinball but Swords of Fury really did it for me. Me and some friends would pump quarters into that thing late Fridays during high school--in 1989.
This looks like a simple "sum-the-vectors" game rather than anything to do with real emotions. Except for my "annoyed" filn--it kept growing with each noise the game made.
I hope I'm not missing the point, whih is ompletely possible.
You said it. I rented it on DVD and stopped, incredulous, after 45 minutes. It made me wonder whether they'd actually read the book. And that mannequin they dressed up like William Hurt and trundled around on a handtruck... I dunno.
Another fun Desmond Morris factoid: human females have enlarged breasts to mimic the shape of their well-defined buttocks, so human-style face-to face is as exciting to males as mammal-default doggy-style.
A company spokesman said they are not currently looking to port any of their flagship products such as Photoshop to Linux yet, as they currently don't see sufficient numbers in the platform to make a good business case for it.
How hard would it be to port the kinda-sorta BSD code from Photoshop CS (or the entire Creative Suite, for that matter) to Linux?
(Actually, this is question is not facetious--really, how hard would it be?)

Abso-fucking-lutely right.
Hell, I even enjoy the grammar Nazis occasionally.
Now I will defeat the lameness filter by adding another sentence.
Sweet. Actually, not just a topic. It could be a little graph under the poll box.

No, you got the marketing brands wrong. That would be Purpl-Ray(R), Gama-Ray(R) and Deth-Ray(R).
Does it have upgraded numchuck skills?

The only thing I have to add to this is "Amen, brother!"
Wow! It's 0.061 rods long!
Seriously, though, how many people on /. are gonna get a WKRP reference?
If you look real closely, the "Blue State" label on this thing looks like Texas switched sides. And Colorado.
I hope I'm not missing the point, whih is ompletely possible.
Or Roland Piquepaille!
If I didn't feel like I was sneaking some "downtime" by browsing slashdot, I'd probably go nucking futs.
The "Bad Hybrid" trolls have been loud lately!
As a present hybrid owner, I'm perfectly happy with my car, thank you very much. As a former Diesel owner, I was very happy with that car, too.
I credit my 1981 Diesel Rabbit with making it physically impossible for me to wrap myself around a telephone pole while I was in high school.
Plus, in a car *that* underpowered, you learn true defensive driving very quickly!

(this is to confound the short message filter. Please ignore.)

Naah... Hooloovoo, a superintelligent shade of the color blue.
Crap. That's what I figured.

Either that or it's gonna be a mass abduction!
I tell you what, I'm gonna wear two tinfoil hats!
Good for joeslugg.
