The reason you pay such high fuel prices in the U.K. is because your government is gouging the bloody hell out of its citizens with taxes. The U.S. has historically had significantly lower taxes on fuel than the rest of the free world. That being said, crude oil and wholesale gasoline prices in the U.S. are inching their way back up despite record high inventory levels and reduced demand due to the prolonged recession. Those of you who are paying less than $3.00 USD per gallon here in the U.S. should consider yourselves fortunate.
The pundits in the financial press attribute much of the recent run-up in prices to the falling value of the U.S. dollar against foreign currencies such as the Euro. While this may account for some of the upward price pressure, much of the gains are due to hedging of currency risk by large firms such as Morgan Stanley -the same bastards that were responsible for bidding the price of crude to record highs in the summer of 2008 while that squint Bush was telling the world it was the Chinese and their demand that was responsible for the high prices.
Haven't noticed the issue on OS X 10.6.4 --I wish the same could be said for Firefox though on both OS X and Windows. An interesting note, as I was reading the summary, TB popped-up a dialog that said v3.1.2 was available.
Only the engine cluster is designed to be 'reusable' -it separates from the first stage fuel tank after booster separation. The cork material is thermal insulation for the cryogenic LOX used in the first stage.
Any buffoon can take a course, cram, and pass the series 7 exam. All you need is a licensed brokerage to sponsor you. Now, if that was done for Microsoft licensing, there would be a hell-of-a-lot less MCSEs out there.

Unless of course the hydraulic assist from the power steering pump is lost due to a pump failure or broken belt -essentially the same thing. Then the steering becomes very difficult as you have to supply the 'power' necessary to force the hydraulic fluid through the steering gear and the failed pump. This is also made more difficult as most power assisted steering has a higher ratio -fewer number of turns lock-to-lock- than a manual (non-power assisted) steering gear.
What the OP and others seem to fail to realize is that when you buy an Apple Macintosh computer -along with the copy of OS X installed- you own the hardware and only have a license to use the software -and that is restricted by the terms of the license to only Apple hardware. Nothing prevents you from running another OS on the hardware that you own. When you purchase a retail version of OS X, you are bound by the license terms to run OS X only on Apple hardware. To run it on any other hardware is in violation of the terms of that license. How is that in any way anti-competitive?

That's pretty fucking clear to me.

Going 'through' any large city in SoCal is possible using public transit. Getting around 'inside' one is nearly impossible.
Please. No one needs tubes. All one needs is a little spice to fold space --and possibly some 'Juice of Saphoo' for the trip.

That's what the cost-savings per computer would be, $0.50 a week, $26.00 per year, per computer.
