    The Diebold Acu-vote has failed as a product that requires the utmost security.
    Honestly how hard would it have been for them to adapt their ATM's to become a voting machine?

    This is the part where you're suppose to realize that it's because Acu-Vote was never designed to be "secure" :)

    The MP3 is a marketing hype, it is the armature's music format.
    Don't you mean amateur's? I didn't know what an armature is, but a rigid framework serving as a supporting inner core for clay or other soft sculpting material just doesn't seem right :)

    I honestly believe that from now on, anyone who misspells Ubuntu should be modded -1 Go back to school. Ubunto is unacceptable, Ubonto is unbearable... Ubunuto is bordeline criminal. If this trend continues I'm gonna have to switch to Dabien or something :)

    I honestly expected more from a company that spends $1 Billion+ on R&D per year. With all of that money and talent the best they could do is copy features that other browsers have had for years and years?
    It's Microsoft's tried-and-tested development model... it's worked for them from the mid 80's so why stop now ? :)

    What you failed to mention is that Chaudfontaine has a population of 21,012, so applying this kind of project isn't too hard. In case somebody comes and throws stuff in your bin you just need to call up the authorities and tell'em that Jean-Pierre from down the street threw his junk in your garbage can.

    I don't think anyone expected Hollywood to actually WANT to have accurate physics in their movies, all that counts is "how cool" they look. It's not a bad thing, mind you. Who'd want to see a King Kong that would die 'cause his bones snapped from the shear weight of his body? Pretty cool read though... shocking to see an article that isn't split into 14 pages to cash in on advertisers.

    I wouldn't call an hour spent playing CS a "loss"... and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only CS addict here :)

    If I signed up for a 3Mb/s (down) line, isn't my share 3Mb/s?
    Actually, no. You signed up for a service that promises speeds of "up to 3 Mbps", and even if you get 56 Kbps quality connections most of the time, you still can't sue because most ISPs have this clause that states that they're not liable if you're not happy with the connection speeds you're getting. 3Mbps is just the cap of your connection speed, not what they promise to offer.

    Lame cookie-cutter game makes record profit, thanks to its identical gameplay to its 235 previous outings, making sure that the "established fanbase" would not get confused. Sports-game licences. They're gold mines I tell you. All you need is a team of graphic artists that'll make sure that the hideously pixellated polygon-version of players look somewhat like the real guys. I'm assuming that they found out how to make the controls/gameplay balanced after all these years.

    If it runs on batteries, then it's a piece of sh*t.. However, if it comes with an A/C adapter, then it's a piece of sh*t (albeit one which could maybe potentially in some cases given the right conditions be useful).

    Nah, capitalism is about maximizing growth. Growth is the cure to everything, since as companies grow, higher more people, spend more money, they grow the economy as a whole. Whether you agree with this or not (I don't think this is true any more), it's the idea of growth for the sake of growth that has driven the US economy for the past century or so...

    While earlier versions of Office would run just fine on computers with 800 to 1000 MHz processors, and 256 MB of RAM, this appears not to be the case with Office 2007.
    Do people realize just how obscene these kinds of specs are? For a friggin' word processor? Word processors existed in the 80's, and believe me they didn't have 256 MB on their hard disks, let alone 256 MB or RAM. I understand that they have added x,y and z features since (hurray for Clippy)... but I remember running a version of Office FULL of bloat on my P3 500Mhz that ran properly. How much crap have they added since to slow it down like this ? And this is not a problem that only concerns MS... even Open Office is insanely slow. What's the deal?
