    If you want to be really anal about it, transmission speeds are in SI units, so you'd have to multiply with (1000/1024)^3 :)

    62.125 * (1000/1024)^3 = 57.858 GiB

    In the case of computer monitors with a variable input signal, it does actually show 60/85/whatever distinct pictures per second (although some may be the same if your app isn't fast enough to update the frame buffer).

    Where do you buy these raid controllers that do not require drivers?

    The reason many servers and highish-end raid controllers don't need drivers off a floppy drive is that their time-to-market is so long that Microsoft gets the driver onto the install CD before the hardware even gets to the mass market. If you're using anything newer than the OS install disk (this goes for Linux too) you need a seperate driver that knows the PCI ID of the card you're using.

    Actually, i took one of those degrees, used the final project (which had to be done in collaboration with a company) to gain entry to a large ISP and hasn't used anything from the degree since. More than half of my classmates were unemployed a year after we finished.

    Why does it matter if people are rich and powerful? Shouldn't the distinction be if they stole a lot or stole a little?

    I am a member of the "quite wealthy" demographic and certainly wouldn't think it fair to be given a 2x jail sentence for stealing that high-end Acura.

    (Could i steal an Aston Martin DB9 instead, please?)

    I'll take the intel and you can take the other three and stuff 'em. I haven't seen a VIA/Rhine NIC in a while, but Marvel and Realtek definitely still makes crappy NICs.

    In a pinch i'll use a 3com, but using a Cisco switch with 3com can be painful if you're autodetecting speed/duplex.
