I was just thinking the same thing. Google is a search engine company, why not just concentrate on improving what they do best.

Maybe it's time to start looking elsewhere. I like the idea of Nutch the effort to implement an open-source web search engine.

On the other hand, spammers have attempted to kill me on at least two occasions. Once with the subject "loose 100 lbs" I only way 135 lbs (idiot spammers) that would kill me. Another time with the subject "become 20 years younger" I'm only 20 years old, WTF, that would kill me too.

This is true, but then again depending on a persons love for their job and their pride in their work any job can become art. If your in it just for the money, that is to say if you became a programmer because you heard you can make a lot of money, you're defiantly not an artist. But if you love your work and would be proud to show others your code, and if don't count the hours until you can go home, but instead when you program you loose track of time then you may be an artist. If a plumber or a carpenter has these qualities then they may very well be artist too. Though, generally I agree with you. There are, however, exceptions as I have shown.

This is why it is stupid/pointless for SCO to not show the code publicly. As I'm sure every one here knows once the changes are made it would be trivial to use a code comparison tool to discover the SCO code in the unmodified linux kernel.
