Article indicated he put the jeans into the freezer when they would start to stink. This would kill some of the bacteria and partially invalidates his test.
"We are in contact with the third party to assist them in making the necessary fixes," a spokesperson said.
The firm also said that it was looking into "potential workarounds" until the issue was solved.
fwiw, there's evidence that one potential culprit was a yahoo mail client
Lucky you. I've had a throttle stick (due to shaft wear on a carburetor) and on a different car I've had a brake master cylinder seal fail. Neither event resulted in an accident because I reacted appropriately, but they certainly could have. I do tend to agree with you though -- the vast majority of accidents are due to human error.
The companies president calls me a "pessimist". My manager knows I'm not happy in my current situation. Psych tests aside, this begs the question: If the management knows I'm "unhappy", then does this exclude me from working on government contracts unnecessarily because the government equates "unhappiness" with "untrustworthy"?
[rant mode on]: Just because I'm unhappy, this does not make me untrustworthy. I trade on my experience, work ethic and reputation. I DO NOT violate trust. Not because I think I'm grossly underpaid. Not because I don't agree with my management. Not when I'm having a bad day. Not ever. This is an unrealistic measure that's likely going to unintentionaly bite good people in the ass.[rant mode off]
So does Lenovo. *checks* and so does Toshiba, MSI and Asus... They're not the majority; but, AMD has never been strong in the laptop segment. Newegg has 111 models from 9 vendors in stock. Some are older models and there's some overlap (differences in installed memory, etc); but, parent didn't try too hard when he looked.
Opteron is/was a derivative of Athlon, Athlon64 and Phenom. Just like Xeon is/was a derivative of Pentium2, Pentium3, Pentium4, Core2, and Core i7. They have additional cache, features to support multisocket and ECC memory for servers, and are tested to a different standard.
Don't replace the engineer. Give them tools that enhance their ability to see impending problems and predict the output of the system in it's current state. However, even given the best tools, if someone chooses to ignore the warnings and over-ride the automation then "accidents" will happen.
Given the ISA and the required signal timing I can create an equivalent for you. When do you need it by?
My point is some of those are reverse engineered and/or modifications on a design provided under license. To be fair, they're splitting hairs, referring (I believe) to the 6502 and not the later 65c02 implemented in the newer process (with new masks). fwiw, you can still buy 65c02 from Western Design, which was started by one of the designers of the 6502.
So, basically we agree. You know, if it was like a flexible solar panel on a backpack, which I've seen and would use on hiking trips, I'd buy into the idea. In an urban environment (which the pants appear to be designed for) there's no point to the solar charger. Easy access to electrical power is all around you. I stand by my statement, carry a spare battery and charger.
I totally agree with your statement. Except it's not just the rampant corruption. There's also the power hungry warlords and dictators who run many of the African nations. You know, the ones who can't be bothered to feed their people (or allow them to feed themselves).
They scream "Rob me, I'm carrying expensive electronics"
They're not going to charge anything very fast
You're better off carrying a spare battery...
So, out of morbid curiosity and boredom, I read the fucking article and I read the product literature. It's a small solar panel that charges an integrated battery pack. The battery pack is then used to charge your device. I again point to my initial conclusion that you're better off carrying a spare battery.
OK, I know it's not a lottery -- it's on purpose (I'm sure someone intended this to happen). AND perhaps I shouldn't be picking on ATK since there's a lot of good people who work there -- I mean them no personal insult.
It looks like the bulk of the rest of the money goes to Lockheed for work on the Orion. That won't go to waste as it's likely Orion, or parts of it, will get used in some future system. It even appears Lockheed might try to put it to use on a commercial launcher:
Because it's going to take nearly a decade (ok, 12/ a decade minimum) to spin up their operations. If they start now, they'll be ready when the Chinese market collapses.
put a kW class laser on the planes and fire back

150-165 MW thermal. I'll let you do the conversion...
and send the drive to your Mom for off-site storage.
How is upstairs off-site?
I'm glad y'all RTFA and saw where it said

Yes, but not all the bank cards and card readers / sales terminals have that feature.

Why haul it. Just attach a tube and siphon the water out of the ocean : )
Do the bugs turn blue and freeze up?
Sadly, all too many of us work in that environment.

You eat shrimp? Shrimp are insects from the sea... sort of (it's not much of a stretch, use your imagination).

They're splitting hairs. The later designs are 65C02 done in a different process with new(-er) masks.
Depends on which version of revisionist history they've been taught.
Ahhh, but you know you're not allowed to cause harmful interference; so, the onus will be on you to resolve the problem...

And the lucky lottery winner for 2011 is... ATK
