Oh man! Cut to the chase shall we? The Fairness Doctrine is aimed squarely at Rush Limbaugh. The Democrat party has a major hard-on for getting rid of him. Had it been any other time or country, the military would have assassinated him AND his family long ago. He pisses them off that badly!!!
So what do Rush Limbaugh and Micheal Moore have in common? They both exercise the 1st Amendment to its fullest. Very brave of them!
Which online groups? Sarah Palin's Facebook followers? better off going to the circus.
No, Facebook followers possess the intellect of a gnat. The groups they plan on going after are ones like this. They (statists) *fear* free thinking citizens. Especially the intelligent ones.
If you know anything about Obama and his associations, this is to be expected. And while yes, I'm mainly a Conservative (not a religious fundee), it should be noted that Obama is not a Liberal in the true sense of the word. No, he's an out-right Statist!
He was speaking the truth when he said there would be change. However, it wasn't the change you were looking for was it? Don't expect the Republicans to save us from this atrocity as their party is officially dead (thanks GWB). In fact, don't expect anyone to save us. Were all fucked now. I hope you all find company among misery, because that's all we have left now.
That would be interesting if true. Perhaps it is. That said however, I know someone whom never had daughters, only sons. According to him, having a daughter is like having a white buffalo. He said this has always been the case throughout his family lineage. Of course, he's an uber rare exception to the rule of 50/50. However, this conveniences me (and this study) that 99% if not 100% of the child's sex outcome is determined by the father.
Personally, I think it would suck not to have any daughters. But, whatever...
No, it means the Human monogamy is a very recent social concept. If this study is true, it means that only men with abundant, healthy sperm stand a greater chance at procreation. But AIDS is sure acting as one hellava counterweight.
We can never satisfactorily "cure" cancer or any other disease. "Curing" a disease is defined as letting you live long enough to die from a different one.
True. But, there is a difference between dieing at the age of 25 vs 90. If possible, I would like to live as long as I potentially can. Life is too short as it is.
Oh ya! Trust me, I know it! A white man marrying a Chinese women is quite an issue for her mother. She believe her daughter should only marry Chinese. Also, you should see some of the looks I get when walking the streets of Shanghai. I've never been racist in my entire life, nor do I deserve such negative karma. However, I think I have an idea of how a black man feels in America firsthand. It sucks!
So what do I do about it? Nothing, absolutely nothing. If they have a problem with me, that's their problem, not mine. For no reason should I have to explain myself or stew over why I'm not being accepted. That's not my fucking problem, it's theirs!
Firewire (IEEE 1394) is broken in Windows 7 64bit. I've installed this OS on four PCs with with Firewire. Two PCs were AMD based, the other two were Intel. All four PCs had different chipsets. All four PCs did not have a single working Firewire port regardless of which external drive we used.
I've even tried replacing the driver with the built-in "legacy" driver. No go. Even if I try transferring data using the robocopy command, it just stops after a few megabytes of data. In short, it's not a hardware or GUI (explorer shell) issue. It's something at the core of Windows 7 that breaks firewire support. I hope SP1 addresses this issue.
Prayer circles praying for your tech problems to be solved, for a small fee, of course.
Given the sorry states of some servers I've had to deal with, that might be the *only* thing that will work. That, or a little Jewish lightning...

If supply side economics don't work, than what does?
One things for sure however, Keynesian economics is not the answer as that theory is being exercised heavily by this administration and congress. Their taking a problem sparked by the housing bubble and market correction and making it far far worse than it should have been. We as a nation, are spending ourselves into ruin. And what do we have to show for it so far with regards to new jobs and employment?
I think we both can agree that we are in some serious shit right now. Blame Bush, blame Obama. One thing is for sure, we are way overdue for some fiscal responsibility. Waging wars and handing out entitlements must be countered with sound economic practices.
If taxation were the sole criterion for the movement of people, wealthy or not, you'd expect to see a migration to Mississippi and Alabama. Because we don't, and reality disagrees with the predictions made by your theory, it is your theory, reality, that is flawed.
Well, it's not as though people say to themselves "high taxes?! I'm moving the heck out of here" though businesses might if it's to their benefit. And there in lies the problem. If businesses and people are taxed disproportionately, the economy will more often that not slow down and suffer. It's only when people and businesses alike become desperate that they sever ties, cut there loss, and move out of state for greener pastures. Raising taxes in a recession *without question* accelerates this process.
The key word here is economic momentum. And the act of Taxation plays a huge role in changing it.
BTW, looks like Mississippi lost people, but Alabama gained. Ok, so you were not right, but not wrong either regarding those two states. However, you might find it interesting to view TX and FL at the following website.
Good question. It's because the rich spend the money on luxury goods that are inferior (from a utilitarian perspective, because they benefit only a few people) to social benefits (which are very useful to everyone). Furthermore, luxury goods have a lower multiplier effect, which means the money spent on them recirculates less, and causes less economic activity.
Were did you ever get that idea, and why??! 0_o
Take for example exotic sport cars, yachts, mansions, and private jets. Every one of those products requires massive R&D and manufacturing costs. As such, it requires a -huge- labor force (physical and mental). This translates into Jobs!!! And believe me, everyone wants to be employed regardless of who or how that capitol drives the labor to produce the aforementioned products.
Those employees can now spend the money how they see fit. Someone might even purchase a simple $15,000 Honda. But guess what, that capitol just went back into the economy to pay the workers that designed and built that car. The system is *not* a zero sum game. It's important to remember that. Growth is always promoted when people have purchasing freedoms (within reason such as this Cadmium health issue).
1. Our taxes, while too low, aren't the lowest in the world. Why do so many people still live here, especially in higher-tax states like New York, then? According to your theory, the rich should have already left.
Oh, they may be staying in the US (for now), but they are fleeing in droves from NY and CA to states like Fl and TX where there is no state income tax. It's good for them and their bank account.
2. We can enact laws, as other countries have, to restrict cross-border movement of capital.
Given our HUGE national debt, we are in no position to be engaging in trade wars with other nations. Besides, were not N. Korea and we don't practice Juche. Isolationism is a very dangerous idea when the rest of the worlds economy is GLOBAL.
3. Even if the wealthy do leave, their capital goods must remain behind, where they can be used by others
There is much more to an economy that just material goods. You seem to be forgetting the service industry and other forms of intellectual work such as software programming, law, and medicine. You are also forgetting that these people need to be paid for their time. That, takes capital. The less capital there is, the weaker your economy is.
Oh ya, you also need human labor to access, process, and deliver natural resources in the form of a product. Leaving them to nature doesn't do us a damn bit of good despite your idea of "leaving them behind".
Malware and Viri are not really the same thing. While it is true that Malware can contain (and spread) Viri, it is highly unlikely you will ever find a Virus that installs Malware. Also, Malware is presented to the user a legitimate program to be installed.
Viri on the other hand just needs to be executed once (EXE, COM files etc) for the payload to be installed automatically and without the computer users knowledge.
Like I said, Malware/Spyware only really started becoming a problem in 2000. And I stand behind that statement.
*sigh* Time to dredge up The Dinner Lesson story again (and again, and again.....)
The Dinner Lesson
With the income filing date fast approching I though it would be interesting to relate this story.
This is a story that I heard on the radio about 10 men who had dinner and paid for it in the same manner as you would pay your income tax. A Professor of Economics from the University of Georgia created this to help explain the Income Tax and how cutting taxes works.
It seemed that 10 men decided to have a business lunch once a week. They always met in the same restaurant and the bill was always, $100.00, for all 10 men. If each man was responsible for his share of the bill that would be, $10.00, each. The men decided to divide the bill based upon their ability to pay. Using an agreed upon formula the following payment arraignment was worked out based upon income.
Men 1-4 who made the least amount of money paid nothing.
Man 5 paid $ 1.00
Man 6 paid $ 3.00
Man 7 paid $ 7.00
Man 8 paid $12.00
Man 9 paid $18.00
Man 10 paid $59.00
After several weeks the owner of the restaurant told the men that because they were such good customers he was reducing the bill by $20.00. Their delimina was how to divide up the, $20.00. If each person got the same amount then the first 4 men would be getting money back but they never paid anything for the dinners. After much discussion and no resolve the owner offered the following suggestion which they all agreed to.
Original Payment New Payment $ Amount Saved % Saved
Men 1-4 paid $ 0.00 $ 0.00 $0.00 0%
Man 5 paid $ 1.00 $ 0.00 $1.00 100%
Man 6 paid $ 3.00 $ 2.00 $1.00 33%
Man 7 paid $ 7.00 $ 5.00 $2.00 28%
Man 8 paid $12.00 $ 9.00 $3.00 25%
Man 9 paid $18.00 $14.00 $4.00 22%
Man 10 paid $59.00 $50.00 $9.00 15%
Once out side the men began to argue about the settlement. Man 5 said he only got, $1.00, while Man 10 received, $9.00. Men 1-4 were upset because the received nothing. They said that the cut only benefited the rich and the poor got nothing. They were upset so they beat up Man 10 and left him. The next week they met for lunch as usual except man 10 did not show up. When the new bill arrived the men discovered that between them they did not have enough money to pay even half of the bill.
In this story we see a simplified version of the Federal Income Tax. According to an article in the "New York Times" 80% of the taxes are paid by 20% of the people highest income people. Any time you have a tax cut the people who pay taxes are going to get the money. The next time you hear of a tax cut and the media tells you that the wealthy are getting all the money, remember they are paying the taxes.
It's high bandwidth high latency. So in theory, you could place two 640GB notebook drives in the tube for a total of 1.28TB of data. Now lets assume that it takes 10 seconds for the tube to travel from start to finish. That would put the transfer rate at 128GB as second.
I had this crazy idea about gravity. I've always though gravity was a "push" rather then a "pull". The way I see it, matter (quarks and other subatomic particles) doesn't occupy space/time, but rather displaces it. Meanwhile, space/time is trying displace the void that is matter. It's sort of like having a sheet of rubber and then creating a small pin prick in it. If I try hard enough, I could push my finger through it, but the rubber will try and displace that bigger hole I'm creating.
Which leads me to a system of proportional displacement. If the distance of space/time is greater on the outside vs between two objects, they get "pushed" toward each other. However, if the distance of space/time between two objects becomes great enough, they pulled apart. Kind of like how galaxies coalesce stars, but galaxies them selves are so far away from each other, the entire universe gets expanded as we speak.
Anyways, just may crazy messed up idea. No proof what-so-ever to back it up. Granted, I'm not ignorant to the real math a science we know today. After all, the written laws of physics is what gets us to the moon and mars.:)
No worries. It doesn't just start nuking programs without asking you first. In fact, it walks you through some lists with program check boxes. Simply review your options prior to executing the removal.
If you're in a corporate environment, they even let you interface with it via CLI for making batch jobs. You have to pay for that version though.

How about illegal aliens?

Hard to believe Obama would hire such an idiot
If you know anything about Obama and his associations, this is to be expected. And while yes, I'm mainly a Conservative (not a religious fundee), it should be noted that Obama is not a Liberal in the true sense of the word. No, he's an out-right Statist!

No excuse me while I zero out my hard drives.
That type-o was minor, but you can see it made a huge difference. All it took was the first letter.
But yes, what you are saying backs up what I was trying to explain too. Sorry for the confusion.
I really don't know where to begin, given that you haven't even had a basic course in genetics.
That's the second time you've attacked me. And so far, you haven't said jack shit to back up your criticism. Care to make it a third?
And humanity is no more monogamous today than it has ever been
You sure about that? Civilization is new concept to Humanity. Relatively speaking that is.
Care to elaborate as to why I'm wrong?
1. It human relationships were mainly monogamous throughout history, I don't see why males are genetically in competition.
2. AIDS affects promiscuous people far far far more than those in a monogamous relationship.
So 1. and 2. = opposing evolutionary forces.
That would be interesting if true. Perhaps it is. That said however, I know someone whom never had daughters, only sons. According to him, having a daughter is like having a white buffalo. Why not? Assisted suicide live on TV? Think of the ratings!
Why not turn it into a game show where you get to pick a vowel? We can call it "Hangman".
(I'm so going to hell for that)
True. But, there is a difference between dieing at the age of 25 vs 90. If possible, I would like to live as long as I potentially can. Life is too short as it is.
There is a lot of racial patriotism in china

Now, STFU!
Interesting take on it. If I'm not mistaken, you're talking about the Casimir Effect regarding gravity, right?
It's high bandwidth high latency. So in theory, you could place two 640GB notebook drives in the tube for a total of 1.28TB of data. Now lets assume that it takes 10 seconds for the tube to travel from start to finish. That would put the transfer rate at 128GB as second.
