He may be a genius, but history is replete with examples of genius going hand-in-hand with mental instability.
Just curious, but are there any studies out there showing that historical figures have a higher instance of mental instability than the general population? People often make the above statement, but I wonder if it is because when a person with power goes nuts we really take notice.

I wish people had to pay for superfluous exclamation marks.
Incase it never occurred to you, companies do all they can to externalize costs. That's one of the reasons supermarkets will adopt this cart. By getting you to do your own food scanning, you are essentially acting as an unpaid employee.
Well, they may not break stories, but they do give accurate on-the-ground coverage of events. Back in November I participated in the London protests against George Bush's State visit. All the major media painted a pretty distorted picture of what happened whereas Indymedia did a good job. I had always known about media distortion, but it's a different thing when you experience it first hand.

An abstract of the article concludes cheerfully enough that 'greenhouse gas-induced warming may lead to a gradually increasing risk in the occurrence of highly destructive category-5 storms
What make you think it was cheerfully concluded? Did they end the paper with a smiley?
But I hope they put these little suckers in some little 'rat rescue' uniform... heck, maybe a little rat loud-speaker saying "don't panic, this is a trained rescue rat" on a loop or someting.
I think if I was trapped under a building for days and a little rat in a uniform came by me saying he was on the rescue team, the first thing I'd do is ask if he's from NIMH.
If you're an American overseas and still want to vote, I think the easiest way is just to drop an email to the US Embassy in your country telling them what state your from.

Clue One: Bush didn't mention Hard Work once.
Clue Two: It wasn't written in purple crayon.
