I think AMD is right on the mark. There is no
rational reason why given a choice between 64/32
and 32 you would want, or should, choose the 32.
By this time next year prices of the lower end Opterons should be approaching $100 as production
ramps up, which is certainly competitive with anything in the only 32bit world.
The powers that be rejected this a week ago. Its
a paper which will appear in PRL that did a reconstruction of Be data in polar ice to reconstruct sunspot data back an additional 800 or
so years, to AD 850. They show that the period
since 1940 has shown uniquely high solar activity . This too hits at the greenhouse theories.

Reading some of these comments.. duh.. Amazon is
list or a buck or two under.. and the story as well.. oy.
Take for example Quantum Mechanics by Liboff. Not
a very large distribution, but fairly well used.
Its $73.30 with shipping from A1 books. From that
UK amazon site, its $71.75 at current exchange rates, excluding customs charges. From Amazon US its *shockingly* list price $94 + shipping.
Moral? Shop around in the US and you can find
your textbooks for quite a bit cheaper than your
campus bookstore or Amazon, and on a par with
the offshore offerings.
wrong. two drives make for raid 1. Unless you
are willing to risk losing 600 GB on a raid 0.
Something like raid 53 is probably what most would
look for.
yeah these things look cool.. but comeon.. $10,700
for 3 wide 20' digitial? And look at the brightness
and contrast ratings - all well below mid to higher
end units available today. You can go buy 3 formac
20" platinums for 4k (or even cheaper with other
brands), and they fit together quite closely (disclaimer: I have 2). In fact, there are other
brands such as planar whos units are cased even
better for edge to edge contact. And if you
*really* need to stack them, I'm sure you can
build a custom housing for vastly cheaper. Also
dont forget that many video cards allow you to
turn the monitor around the tall way as well.
i recall reading recently that the problems aren't
so much with the accuracy of beams, whether light
or particle, but in having the patient totally
immobile, which is virtually impossible.
So.. if I need to run, say 1000 watts worth of
equipment for oh.. 16 hours a day, how many of these
bad boys do i need? Clearly its not light out all
day, so what does it take to have sufficient
charge in those battery backups? And how much does
the battery system add to that per watt cost?
i was about to say the same.. very few courses
actually have the lecture notes, which after all
is what we are all after. Putting up problem
sets &/or text book names is hardly earth shattering
or useful.

They claim a database of 280,000 attacks since 1995.
They claim there were at least 18,000 attacks in
August alone, or 6.5% of the total of 1% of
their sample. Also, these numbers are meaningless
without knowing the total population of each type of server. Oy!
I was looking around for an article I read a few
years ago, I thought in one of the valley papers,
but stumbled on this , which seemed to cover the
same points and might have just been republished
out there. You might also want to take a look at
this from the EPA.
As there case seems to be based upon their claimed
records of you downloading or uploading files, is
there any limit on how long they have to file a
claim?
Also, would they not need to also prove that the
person who uploaded a file from you did not already
have a copy of the song on cd? I suppose the fair
use thing is tricky, but doesn't it allow for having a coyp for personal use? I'm not sure it
says you need to be the one to *make* the copy.
Ive been using this card 24-7 in an dual Athlon
system since December and its been great. I chose
to do RAID 10 with 4 drives. Rebuilds do kinda
suck, but the 3ware desktop manager allows you to
adjust the parameters to make general use acceptable. Probably wouldnt want to spool any
video while its doing this, but everything else is
ok. I believe I paid about $300 then, newegg has for $275. It also does raid 5. Keep in mind they
have a newer version out said to be faster.
In anyevent, anybody considering raid should read
this
most quote and trading software is written only for

to do a lot of photo/video/audio stuff after hours,
you really do need something like this.

Blown far off course, out of bluetooth range... bam! Hits a pedestrian and takes an eye out. Don't believe m? Ask your momma!
What kind of precautions do these people take?
Weren't ALGOL and PL/I quite popular alternatives at the time, especially in Euroland?

don't mess with the installed base
If I go outside with a cold and you happen to get sick a week later, are you going to come to my house and fine me?

yes and just look at the price of those stock options.. 0.66 1.12 .. how convenient they start
this whole process after those vest.
what we really need is font smoothing for win2k so that I can go back to a more stable and less bloated OS.
