Hi, I am a Mac, XP, Linux fanboy who uses his Apple TV for pics, music, and movies. It is not the best for movies, but it is easy. Can anyone tell me where to put the DVD in?
I noticed most people go to CNN before Fox News. First I am surprised that people go to both. Second I am surprised that it is always CNN first. Would it be alphabetical?
I have a friend that uses the XY500-pcs(from wireless extenders) with sprint and his metal roof. He had problems with it repeating a non-sprint signal that had good coverage in his house. He just moved the antenna and it was working. Good luck.
I have a customer that got a Dell with a 90 warranty...Ouch!
I have another that has a four year parts warranty...not bad.
How about the Dell Laptops that are shipping with touchpads that conflict with the USB2 ports...HMMM
What kind of health care does Dell supply their employees?
I am glad that people are buying Dells. I make a lot money fixing them.
My "nuclear" family has 1 toshiba laptop(winXP), 3 Homebrew wintels, 1 powerbook, 1 Mac-mini, and 1 averatec laptop(winxp/suse). I don't think I will buy anymore macs after linux improves.
The guy did a nice job modding his Volkswagon, a lot better than complaining about Apple on slahdot.
I wish it would be built into a hybrid Honda Accord. I would save the $2000 on the satellite system and put in one of these beasties.
I enjoy using the wireless logitech keyboard and mouse combo($50). Just make sure that the set you buy has the OS X sticker on it and it is an optical mouse. I believe it has the apple and windows stickers on it. I use it for linux, os x, and win xp.
I am a fan of the logitech trackball when sitting in the easy chair with the linux laptop. I am running suse 9.2 with all the buttons working. I felt guilty leaving mandrake 10.1, but was it an easy install. My wireless g worked without a hitch.
Am I becoming a Novell Nerd?
Haven't sprung for the mini...yet. I want to put it in my entertainment center. If the roof wasn't leaking....
What about "easily" playing aac files? I haven't tried the DRM breaking tricks. What if I just played a "fake" ipod on my linux box? I like the I-tunes store, I like my powerbook, I would like my Ipod on my linux laptop.
I hope you live in a city, country Verizon users can not get anything but dial-up and yes I am close enough to the switch.
Cable does feel the need to provide service, even though I am within their connection distance.
I guess I should just get laggy satellite.
My place of work solved this any many other problems with Deep Freeze. This has been a godsend. There are some other products, but the names escape me.
I have run into this problem on high speed internet and on dial-up. I did a re-install, windows updated, then installed the Norton Anti-virus. The machine had a new hard drive. I got a virus during the windows update(Welcha?).
A guy brought his machine in to work for me to fix. We put a snazzy 200gb drive in the machine. Installed winxp, and got a virus from the internet after the install, during the windows update.
I get more business the more money I charge. It works great to say my discount rate is $30-80/hour, because my real rate is $60-100/hour. I receive many referrals that way. I also try to refer customers to others that are cheaper. It is extremely funny and good for business.
Training is not my main job; I just do it for fun. If I had to make a living at it, I would be out of luck.
I turn a lot of people away, because I don't have time.
Actually it does work in Safari, what didn't work, did I miss something. I tabbed everything and read it all, then I was going to moderate. I guess I won't know, What did I miss?

Ok, I give, what doesn't work. Is it that the site is/.?
As long as you have good power going to your outlets, you won't have a problem. I have had two houses with would/electronics benchs. One place I put up a bisqueen wall to seperate the two, and my new one I would throw the bisqueen over the top of my electronics. The cover the electronics worked better than the bisqueen walls.
The National Electric Code (NEC) probably wants you to have your table saw, drill press, bandsaw,... on seperate circuits. Realistically, you just have your big equipment on wheels, so you can roll them over to the "good" circuit. I suppose if you are rich, you just get a bigger power drop in your workshop. Remember the wheels should become immobile before using (locks, brakes, removable).
It is not a bad idea to have the woodworking EQ on a different branch (not just circuit). Some EQ draws a lot of power when starting.
I hope that it is a good game. I think both teams have had a Great season. I will be cheering for my Packers. Have a beer for me, and may the best team win.
I will second the masonite. You can always tear it off and put on a new sheet when it gets toated. Stuff is cheap. Tempered masonite is the best.
I would buy the sheet at your local lumber yard, if they will cut it to the size you want with their panel saw. Countersink a couple of drywall screws in the corners and done.
I moved half of my workshop into a back bedroom so I can have a phone line, decent lighting, electrical outlets, and LAN connection. I fix a lot of crappy computers for people to keep out of landfills, and I just need phone lines, ethernet, electricity and lighting.
I like non-halogen bulbs on goosenecks on my work table, and regular light bulbs in enameled metal lamp shades above my head. I don't have as much flickering of light.
I would recommend an ogg/mp3 jukebox with a tv tuner card to watch The Green Bay Packers play. Maybe even a radio, but electronic RF can be a killer.
If you are actually going to use your workshop for extended periods of time, do you want to stand on cold cement? If you are in California..maybe, International Falls..No Way.
I recommend at least a piece of plywood on the floor in colder climates. I like the Epoxy floor covering for clean-up .
How many ET cartridges did they bury in the desert because they couldn't sell them?
I was a star raiders junky, too.
Warlords rocked, especially with four people.

I knew it! I knew it! You did write the virus. I am disgusted by your sleaze and gall. Why don't you try earning a real living?
What a cheap publicity stunt! Does your mother know how evil you are?
Question: Why didn't you do something to prevent the attack?
Answer: Blatant PR
Question: Why M$?
Answer: That was a copy cat.
No facts, just speculation and humor.
Sincerely,
Linux User
I loved the championship boxing in the article. Does that bring back memories. Xenophobe is a great game. I lost a lot of quarters to that one.
Road Blaster should be on the list, too.
it is not India....yet.
Used for lab reports and papers.
I use Amadeus II for my music editing.
I can't believe I can listen to the files in I-tunes, thanks slashdotters. I know one good thing that came out of this "news" article.
