Speed. By the end of the year SSD will be faster, both reading and writing than HDD. There's some pretty hefty physical limitations on the spinning disk paradigm and everybody is really used to those. SSD doesn't have many of those limitations. Give it a year;)
I'm guessing that this can't be generalized to everyone, but just as food for thought... I don't use my laptop's optical drive. In fact I wish it wasn't on here, it's deadweight, and a waste of space (perhaps a bigger battery?). I just as soon copy movies to my hard drive and play them from there (and if you can't do that with blueray yet, it's just one more reason not to use it)- or even over the network. Even if I did have a Blueray drive in this thing I'd probably never use it for movies- too noisy!
I'm looking forward to the day when optical drive are no longer required for software installs and all of my content is on my solid state drive. Hopefully that's not too far off. I was so glad when floppy drive were finally banished, I don't miss them.
True that. My analog (TriMode, running in analog mode) phone got a horse dispatched into Yosemite backcountry to cart out a teen with a seriously broken leg. All the digital phones that people had brought failed to connect.
Talking to dispatch sounded more like a two-way radio than a typical phone call, but it worked.
Over the years our use of the term "evolution" became so vague that I'm not even sure what it means to say that someone "denies evolution"
**sniff*sigh**
Maybe its because some people at university are there to learn- and without regulation college protests would pretty much make the school continuously useless. FSZs are a pretty good idea if you ask me. Maybe (ok, definitely) not ideologically perfect but I think it's a pretty good compromise. It kept the classrooms and labs open for me to complete my degree while still allowing my peers to protest or push their political views.
Are you sure? Pablo has been working for years, since like quicktime 4. I don't now anymore because owning Logic Studio licenses quicktime without a serial.
I think iTunes is available separate as well with an extra click.
Imagine how much better windows could be if they weren't afraid to break backwards compatibility. I don't like it when things don't work but I love that Apple is willing to depricate things that have depreciated.
I've actually gotten pretty good and figuring which jams are accident related and those that are just people being retarded. Me too. My personal method is to look for the crash.
Have you ever looked inside a Pages or Numbers document package. It's almost self documenting. Images in folders accompanied by a gzipped xml file.
Just between you and me, given the choice, iPhone or Smoking, choose iPhone. It's cheaper, cooler and takes longer to cause cancer.
The Internet Wins.
I would not be at all surprised if Blue-ray is the last distributed physical media for movie distribution.
Survey says 5 years, tops.

Wait, could you clarify, once more, what this "IP" means???? Sincerely, Confused

At first I read that as "un-ionizing" . . . and I kind of wondered what exactly that would involve.
Hmmm
Heehee- but monkeys are funnier to talk about that apes!
Cheers!

Yeah- and who uses AAC/MP3 for backup??? If anything the lossy file is for primary use and the CD/FLAC is for backup.
. . . but everyone like Targets more than Walmarts *ducks*
You sir, are obviously not a web developer. Cheers, Ed.
So did you get in anywhere? :p
In a world where Everybody Votes, telephone poles are made from wood by-products, not tall trees.
People.
Probably.
...Ahy wait a minute...that's ME you're pointing all that traffic at!!!
