As For SPEWS and others, their actions are based on actual monitored events (spam) and not the whim of some dictator or someone doing a favour for a bribe
Wow that's a naive thing. To assume all government run lists would be under the control of dictator's or puppet leaders and that self appointed guardians like SPEWS would be completely clean a purer than the driven snow and not prone to any sort of bias.
Punk: Okay, you say you can't get the NVidia card to work in Red Hat. Let's go to the NVidia site and download--
Dude: My root password is money45!
Punk: [dope smack] NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!
I actualy nearley got caught out for real with something similer in the UK there promiting using PIN numbers for when you use a debit/credit card. When the check out assistant asked me if i knew my PIN to enter into the machine, my reply yes it's.... never mind. It brought home to me how easy it is to let something slip if you not prepared or switched on.
Take the chocolate and then lie about my password. did they test the passwords to see that they worked after all it only takes a second to make up a word in return for sweet sweet candy
True, but lately I've noticed in an increase in leftist-loonie morons talking about the 'evils' of capitalism and and the moral depravity of actually having money. I've also noticed that a not-insignificant chunk of these folks are from Europe, and a good many of their posts sound like the jealous rants of a small child smarting over the fact that the neighbor kid has a bigger and flashier toy truck.
I have seen a lot of post's like yours complaining about leftist complaints i have seen a lot of post's complaining about rightist's complaints, but i have seen few of the original complaints. As for the moral depravity of having money, nobody is stupid enough to say that, money is not evil only those who use it for evil are.
P.S. what is considerd leftist on the US centric/. is fairley middle of the road for the rest of the world
about the counter-reaction to SCO's attacks on Linux, and how SCO may actually be one of the best things to happen to Linux lately, because their attacks have turned a lot of attention to the possible Achilles' heel in the code contribution process.
how is that actually good for Linux. Isn't take a bit like pointing out all the security holes in windows it doesn't improve the OS's reputation. and from most of what i remember about SCO's attacks on code contribution have been shown to be wide of the mark
I DO NOT WANT a Unix as my desktop system. The people that do, I question their sanity. Rather then worrying about X, and GNOME/KDE to pull users in, I think for Linux to be part of a friendly, usable operating system, things like the ambiguities in the file system (/bin,/usr/bin,/usr/local/bin, etc... try explaining that to a "computer retard"®).
It's about as hard as trying to explain what twain32 twunk16 twunk32 system system32 shcache srchast all are. And it's a lot easier (well less painful) to explain/bin/usr/bin etc are all about than trying to explain why the last 2-3 hours of work they have been doing is unrecoverable because windows has crashed. A computer retard is going to have as much trouble understanding how windows works as Linux they only need to know how to use them and that's something a Vegetable could learn. this is just one example of the types of things "geeks" ignore that really really really are stumbling blocks for a desktop.
The biggest stumbling block is people being aware of Linux's existence once it becomes more common on the desktop at work people will start to take it home and use it, Which is the important thing. You, me and other/.ers like to know how the OS works, Users just want to use something reliable.
Yes, the business would probably eventually prevail in a court of law, especially if they could prove that they were the victim of an extortion attempt, but the hassle would be expensive in and of itself.
It's Likley this would be to much hassle for the Spammers, and they wouldn't be spammers if they into hard work. Also the buisness could probably turn around and sue for use of there tradmark Etc.
yo, this shit ain't funny. All it does is demonstrate how humour-impaired certain elements of the left can be -- specifically, that element that's not yet reached drinking age.
I think it shows how humour impaired you are.
seriously, chaps. You don't see this kind of stupid childishness from conservatives. Every time someone makes another cheap, unfunny WMD joke, or fucking cheerlead for peace, it makes me ashamed to be anti-gwb.
No you wouldn't instead they would try to destroy someone's reputation through talk shows and whispering campaigns, they wouldn't us anything as subtle as humour.
It seems like too much of a coincidence that while the Simpson's actors are holding out for $8 Million / season that Fox suddenly takes an interest in Futurama? Say it aint so!
ho ho that would be just desserts. Besides SKY/FOX has repeated the Simpson's to death the same episode 3 times a week is taking the p**s
Last year, Futurama and Family Guy reruns did so well that it's likely both shows (which Fox killed in prime time) will produce new episodes."
Do the executives ever watch these programs if they did they would realise what a bad idea killing them off would be. Most programs that have a large audience in there first series usually trail off by the second and third (think of most reality shows). Most quality series build up a fan base slowly by word of mouth, which is what has happened with the re-runs.
Message to SKY/FOX please stop repeating the same Simpson episodes in the same week it's boring and putting me off the Simpson's.
This one just makes me say wow... Microsoft actually thingks they can claim the rights to "Lin---s"? Talk about power hungry. If i was Lin-u-s i would be worried.
From the article There was a substance that had similar properties produced in the past, but that fire suppression liquid was damaging the ozone layer. The new substance by Tyco is supposed to be environmentally safe. Looks like protecting the Ozone was the reson for making this, Presumably there also refering to 3M's product.
...Oh, and by the way, some schmuck will find a way to blow up planes with or without data sharing, internment, shoot-to-kill policies, bloody-great walls, compulsory ID cards, razing villages, etc.
there is only one way to effectively win a war the following is how it was done in Oman
This is the UK equivalent of Vietnam in that the fight was against communist insurgents, the difference in the tactics employed by US and UK and the results could not be more glaring. Time and time again it has been shown that firepower is not what wins wars (fights yes) but brain power which earns you the support of the population.
Terrorist Etc can only be defeated if you remove there support, not by killing the son/daughter mother/father of a potential terrorist recruit
What amazes me is not that the EU allows it (what choice does it have?), but that it does not reciprocate.
Considering the EU managed to force America's hand over data protection and the safe harbour (not to mention steel tariffs) it is a surprise they backed down over this as they know they can win these issues especially as CAPPS lowers security.
that it does not reciprocate. I'd like to see a special queue at Brussels airport where visiting American tourists are finger-printed, photographed, and generally treated like criminal suspects./me thinks the concept of "tolerance and personal liberty" would soon find a new meaning.
Don't worry they will once enough people complain about it and someone looks into the security aspect.
its only censorship when the GOVERNMENT does it. Completely wrong if I went in to a newsagents and started covering up the nude women in the pron mags with a marker pen it would be me censoring those pictures not the government.
It's only government censorship when it is enshrined in law.
A movie director can censor there own film like Stanley Kubrick and a Clockwork Orange.
Just one week after Maines' statement, South Carolina State Representative Catherine Ceips introduced a House Resolution calling upon the Dixie Chicks to publicly apologize for the statement and perform a free concert for American troops stationed in South Carolina when the group began a tour in Greenville, South Carolina on May 1st. The Resolution called the comments "unpatriotic," "unnecessary," and "anti-American." The measure passed the House on a 50-35 vote.
Have they performed the concert yet? I would imagine that this would be the easiest thing in the world to appeal on the grounds of free speech as this is a punishment for speaking freeley. Catherine Ceips sounds like the sort of person who would waste there mod points (like she wasted the house's time) by modding down a good comment on Slashdot because they disagreed with it
Wow that's a naive thing. To assume all government run lists would be under the control of dictator's or puppet leaders and that self appointed guardians like SPEWS would be completely clean a purer than the driven snow and not prone to any sort of bias.
I have dyslexia you insensitive clod
Yes custom houses with 3 floors but no stairs you have to rockpack your way up.

About as much as i wasted by those who complain about it and those who reply to those who complain about it ;)

But how do i upgrade it, and will it allow for overclocking? if it does will i need to screw some heastsinks and fans to my head?

It's a standard disclaimer to show he has no computer knowledge. Xp Home doesn't let you know half of what's going on.
Coolness definatly the coolness

there is only one way to effectively win a war the following is how it was done in Oman
22 SAS were sent to assist and an elaborate 5 front hearts and minds campaign, conceived by Watts, was rapidly instigated. The essence of the strategy was to eliminate Omani dissatisfaction; Quabus began a large works programme that would propel Oman into the twentieth Century. The problem now was how to get this message across to the rebels and to get them to understand the truth that there was no longer any need to fight. The commander felt that the original rebels did have right on their side because they simply wanted a better way of life. Part of Watt's plan was psychological; he made certain that the Sultan's far-reaching policies became common knowledge, along with the offer of amnesty to any surrendering rebels. From these defectors it was hoped that levies would be raised to fight the defectors, Watt's strategy was spot on and within month's defectors started to cross the lines. These men (furcats) trained and later became the backbone of fighting in Oman; by mid 1971 support from the local tribes was gradually being won.
This is the UK equivalent of Vietnam in that the fight was against communist insurgents, the difference in the tactics employed by US and UK and the results could not be more glaring. Time and time again it has been shown that firepower is not what wins wars (fights yes) but brain power which earns you the support of the population.

Not exactly there is something called a safe harbour the information about EU citizens being in the system was something that was negotiated later.
What amazes me is not that the EU allows it (what choice does it have?), but that it does not reciprocate.

That Cray and there supercomputers had disappeared years and years ago
