China was crippled by corruption and is now slowly cleaning up it's act. The US is now crippled by corruption and it is getting worse. AI in most instance is not smarter than insects and that is pretty much what you strive to mimic for most functions. Of course hive minded insects with limited communications but enabling swarm activities is the goal, no more complex than that. The US can try to solve these problems but the levels and corruption and unlimited greed mean, failure is now the norm, not just because they do not care but they get paid to try again, so failure on purpose and it is going to get worse.

  3. Geebus, stop thinking of Aliens as some kind of blob. Think more, this generation of Aliens, those Aliens alive today. So why the fuck would a society evolve all at once, we haven't, huge difference in social development across the world, as for other far more evolved societies, probably maintain primitive worlds for their less evolved counter parts. Straight up logic theory, unless you alter your conflict resolving basis as you technology evolves, so you will cause yourself to go extinct, simply inevitable ie for us, get rid of our psychopaths or allow them to send us extinct, they have caused many societies to go extinct, a global society means the extinction of humanity under the insane rule of it's psychopaths. As for us, so that logical genetic thought structure patterns occur for others upon similar evolutionary demands.

Looking for them with our technology kind of stupid, unless you are trying to catch them out in local space. Doesn't matter how long we have been looking for them with our technology, what really counts is how long they have been looking for us with their technology. Claiming they would not look is juvenile and stupid, how could they resist making a countless broadcast shows of the trials and tribulations of the mud monkeys (earth primates), how could not our ravaging each other be the greatest form of entertainment in the galaxy. Lie to yourself as much as you want, you know how irresistible that would be, how it would be craved in a stable and boring galaxy.

What would we see, obviously depends upon how rare it is. Billions of years in evolution, right up to the moment of transformation, from primitive to modern, the transformation moment, which we still have not completed in galactic terms. So tens of thousands of years against billions of years of planetary evolution and the main cause, the somewhat recent cyclic ice ages which favoured brain development and adaptability over physical development. So yeah, really fucking rare and over billions of star system sort of occurring around once in a million years, so as rare as you can image, tens of thousands of generations of Aliens have gone by without watching the birth of a new galactic species. The recent few generations have gotten to watch, to anthropomorphise https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... and nothing less but their own evolution in the distant past, to in essence feel what their distant ancestors felt, really fucking distant.

Now comes the fun part, how protective of that would they be, easy, once in a million years protective. Ain't nothing getting through what they do not want to get through, no rocks, no suns, no starship, nothing to spoil their moment of reliving their history and watching the spectacle and you know they would watch every single fucking thing they can, every action and even every thought, they would not want to miss a single thing. All secret to not spoil the development to watch the show, until that one final fateful day, the welcome to the galaxy party day, well the first day of what I am sure would be a very interesting month or so.

This will reflect in their food choices, their tastes and those taste are not just tastes, those tastes are often molecular precursors for all sorts of brain chemicals, you will teach yourself to choose the ones that feed the nature of your brain, of your personality.

I switch from coffee to alkalised cocoa (that wash the chocolate powered with and alkalised solution which reacts with the bitter acidic elements obviating the need for sugar). It seems the real target is those home energy systems, getting them off the market before more damage is done to the fossil fuellers. Lobbyists are continuing to fund government corporate appointees controlling government agencies on behalf of hedge fund managers buried up to the eyeballs in fossil fuels.

Home power system, distributed energy networks, where the power stations have already been built, your home and only need the generators, solar panels and batteries, system that generate a surplus and feed, medium and high density residential as well as commercial, you even maintain the system for them and they pay you for your excess electricity. Check the return on solar power, compared to what you nobodies can generate in bank interest on your capital. When you don't pay for electricity, you get to keep that income, you panels generate a far better return than bank interest payments and they self adjust to inflation and you pay ZERO TAX on the return, woo hoo. 20. For exactly these reasons as CPU power becomes greater and memory cheaper, so server less systems will dominate. Cheap processing power at home, why send information to a corporate controlled and manipulated server. The home sever the processes your voice locally will dominate because it will promote exactly that and of course market the threats of corporate controlled servers.

Once home voice recognition becomes cheap enough, so the corporate advertising and manipulation service becomes totally undesirable and will only be for the poorest, which of course are not desired by marketing companies, except those selling corrupt politicians. So Google as the leading manipulator of the poor and for everyone who can afford it, a local home server, that does not reach out to it's corporate masters and in fact becomes the gateway between all your devices and their corporate masters, ACCESS DENIED.

  21. More realistically because Apple is looking to expand beyond just selling devices and the terminology reflects that. Interesting thing from the site https://www.apple.com/ios/maps..., is right down the bottom https://www.apple.com/privacy/. Apple is looking to target Google Maps head on.

Google is clearly going to come under increasing competitive pressure by well funded competitors. Google has managed to make a dick of itself and thus is quite vulnerable, it requires loads of users that like them and always invading everyone's privacy, political baking searches, being really abusive with YouTube did not help their image, ahh American arrogance and exceptionalism alive and well in it's corporate thinking, until well, the sheeple scatter all over the place.

Google the planets number one censor and invader of privacy, now that'll sell, NOT. Too much of Google's value is tied to perceptions of their public popularity, people liking them, which makes them extremely vulnerable to counter marketing, making them unpopular for the unpopular things they routinely do but manage to mostly hide, well, used to be able to hide.
