As animation replaces actor and sets for dead work, the cost advantages will simply alter the whole dead/recorded content landscape (much better reuse of screen elements in other works, complete ownership of never aging or even ageing at the right pace 'actors', the only live or on location stuff is for imagination feeds, putting the animators in the right frame of mind).

So to remain globally broadband competitive the Australian government was forced to do what every other country with incumbent copper network telecoms was forced to do create a new national broaband fibre network. That another ring wing political party will inevitably try to sell to the investor and campaign donor buddies, who will then slow down and strangle the network in order to raise prices with claims of bandwidth saturation in reality to try and create a broadband content delivery monopoly.

The additional cost of code review for outsourced work also doesn't cover the cost of giving away your source code for free. That outsourced company also has a free copy of your code that they can now incorporate in other projects and on sell. Each part has further components and in the US system, the states also add their additional parts.

Many countries have loser pays law for civil suits, the US does not. In you are not in the US and your country does have loser pays laws, then you would be a bloody idiot to show up in the US to fight a civil case. Competing in the global economy is all about price. Teaching children to more effectively compete in the global labour market place is more along the lines of psychological abuse. You are worthless, you should be thankful you have a job, shut up and do as you are told, your employer knows best, greedy labour unions are evil, a sick worker is a lazy worker, government labour regulations are all wrong, more people can work if they accept lower pay, the boss should physically abuse poor performing workers and, workers should dob in other workers who are slacking off as they are stealing from them.
Competing in the global labour market is bullshit. As people working together, as a human and humane society we sit down and decide what is the appropriate basis for global competition and what are the appropriate labour rules and working conditions and then we enforce those conditions by laws and criminal penalties and also by import penalties for other countries that do not adhere to what we would consider acceptable for ourselves.
Global competition, it is all about those that lose out personally in the global market place, those that the global market pays cents per hour, those that can't afford to buy much of anything, those that fail to compete and gain themselves and their children an acceptable future.
