Why even other with free to air or cable. Buy your content and create your own channel, $100 per month buys a lot of content, especially endless specials, in a few years you'll have all the recorded content you could be bothered with. Yumping yimminy people, grow the fuck up. The only web sites the typical worker should access from work are those one that directly relate to their work, anything, absolutely anything (even personal banking) is a privilege and a perk.
Most companies should not block sites, they should block the whole of the world wide web and only allow access to sites that relate to company business. A whole bunch of you should spend some time on factory production lines, boring, mindless, monotonous work, from which there is very little opportunity to escape and where rapidity and accuracy of your robot like motions will define you income (I have done it and I know how difficult it is over an extended period).

When they buy out a mid sized company it can of course take a decade for another small company to grow to replace it, giving the corporation that decade to recover the purchase price by screwing over the customer, with monopoly or cartel price fixing schemes.
Clearly it is most definitely not in the interest of human societies to allow corporations to grow beyond a certain size and obviously there are already quite a few corporations that should be broken up or have limited liability taken from them (make their shareholders liable for all debts if capital value exceeds a defined limit say in current market 10 billion perhaps even as low 1 billion).

Mineral resources need to exist in sufficient concentrations at any particular point and in sufficient quantity to make mining those resources cost effective. If you a talking about base elements your typical right wing idiot could argue that non of the mineral have been used up at all, it all still exists and hence you never actually use any, so this generation is fully entitled to mine all readily accessible concentrations of resources to profit itself and fuck future generations.
The mining of resources not only uses up all the 'MOST' viable concentration of resources it also results in pollution of the planet, not only from mining but also from refining (which becomes much worse as you deal with less viable mining resources).
Whilst today's psychopaths care little for the current generation and even less for future generations including their own descendents, the rest of us the majority still should consider all future generations of humanity in the way we use and abuse our mutual resources, not just the next but thousands of years even hundreds of thousands of years into the future. Outsourcing is very tricky control, as software product is pretend produced locally whilst in reality it is an imported product. Of course data processing outsourcing can be tackled simply by privacy security data export laws.
Best way to cripple outsourcing, simply use free open source software, where you can only charge for locally sourced service and support. You can not hide crappy off shore call centres. By locally sourced service and support I mean really locally, your suburb, your town, not just your state or country.
Nothing puts off shore out sourcing centres like, free open source software. Tax payers dollars saved, tax payer dollars not exported and tax payer dollars used to employ the local community, it should be mandated that governments only use free open source software and contract out service and support to regional service and support providers.
Likely Dell is starting to lean to heavily of very tough component supply contracts. Once you get to Dell's size forcing the full cost of a warranty repair upon a component supplier becomes a requirement for competitiveness.
Of course if Dell becomes to complacent because component suppliers basically bear the full cost of Dell warranties, Dell's overall reputation can suffer. Something neat might be for Dell to force the component supplier to apologise to the customer and supply a token gift to the customer with that apology.
