Losing weight can help you control Type II diabetes, but it will not cure it. There is no cure for Type II diabetes at this point. Anyone who told you differently is mistaken.
He is only partially right. Embracing family values and avoiding alcohol, smoking, pornography, etc., is a good thing, and if that makes Mormons (which I am) and Utahns (which I'm not) "peculiar" then it is a good thing.
However, embracing being "backwards," is a bad thing. Embracing family values is not being backward. Supporting hatred and teaching our children to fear people who are not Mormons, is backwards. That is not something the Church embraces and we should not be proud of those who do.
I agree. I have both MS Office and OpenOffice.org on my computer at work and rarely use any MS Office programs. I occassioally use the Data Import for Excel and then move the info to OpenOffice's spreadsheet program. I find OpenOffice meets all of my needs. At home I only have Openoffice installed and I own MS Office 2000. I would never user MS Office if only I could get the Data Import to work as well.
Actually, I found a mistake with SprintPCS this month, but having a paper bill would not have helped me. I paid online and they then credited the payment back to me. (They said my account was closed. Very odd, since I am still using it.)
I noticed that they were saying that I owed more than my online bill said I owed. When I contacted them, they explained what happened. I did complain that I was not notified of the credit when I have an email address online. Said it wouldn't happen again, we'll see.
The short of it all, is that depending on a paper statement is a big mistake. So, I recommend going paperless because it will save a few trees.
Do you have any proof of your accusations regarding the Book of Mormon? I am asking, because they are unfounded.
The Book of Mormon does not teach that "Indians" are children of the devil. Now the LDS church does teach that the Native Americans are descendants of the people of the Book of Mormon, but not that they are children of the Devil.
And I don't even know where you got the idea that the Book of Mormon condones slavery for Blacks.
As for the chattel cooment, I can guarantee you that it does not teach that women should be chattel. I know this, because I am LDS. I am also a woman, but I am no ones chattel. (Although I am married.) I am currently an email tech support person for a computer software company. I have also written the manual for one of the programs the company sells. My paycheck goes into my account. I decide where the money in my account goes. Does this sound like chattel? I think not.
I don't think Slashdotters are the exception when it comes to paying for content. I say that, because while i am not paying to read Slashdot, I do subscribe to Delphi forums. And I know I am not the only subscriber. I am willing to pay for Delphi forums, because I visit the forums several times a day and the added benefits are worth the cost. (At least in my book.)
Subscription services will work, as long as you provide the user with something for which they are willing to pay and the cost of subscription is not too high.
I've had Sprint PCS for a little over 3 years and the its coverage definitely differs depending on the area.
When I lived in Dallas, Sprint was perfect. I rarely lost a call, the sound was great and very rarely did I find an area where I just could not make a call. I loved Sprint PCS. (Unlike AT&T Wireless. I had nothing but problems and customer service was horrible.)
Now I live 45 min north of West Palm Beach. Here my Sprint PCS service is not nearly as good. Lots of areas where I have little or no reception. And oftentimes, when I can use the phone it is very staticky.
However, I will be staying with Sprint for 3 reaons. 1. I don't have a contract. 2. I have no proof other providers would be better. 3. I love my Motorola StarTac and would not want to give it up.
But in marketing you use what sounds cool. What sells. Since I live in florida and usually carry two water bottles and a hydo pack with 100 ozs of water. The few pounds that an AlSc, Ti, or Cabon frame would save me is not worth the money. No my carbon fiber fork was worth every cent. It really helps smooth out the ride. Now on my MTB I have steel.
I have found that there is one glaring weakness with OO.o and that is the spell checker. I use OO.o at home almost exclusively and have been very pleased with it, with this one exception. Often, even if the the spell checkr knows the word is misspelled, it doesn't know the correct spelling.
I think OO.o is a great program. I tell everyone I know to download it. (Although I'm not having much success getting others to do so.) However, the spell checker needs improvement.
