    how do we know if something outside the universe isnt affecting it.

    I'd like to think we live on an electron in orbit around the proton of a molecule as part of a giant coffee mug -- our universe is expanding due to some even bigger geek having just poured hot coffee in our universal mug.

    It's "dark" cuz that's how this geek likes his coffee.

    I think the earth curvature is still there, albeit exaggerated by the fisheye lens...

    Also notice, the sky isnt blue on that photo.

    I can't wait for Rutan to finally snatch the Xprize... almost looks like a fait-accompli.

    I'm not afraid of that scenario, because if it happens, we can easily adapt to in-house hydroponics, powered by hydro-electricity (at least here in Canada).

    A lot of people use in-house hydroponics year-round already, although mostly not to cultivate food... but it would still work for vegetables.

    since China wasnt part of the original plans for the ISS I dont think Chinese space components can be added it at this stage...

    unless they used Russian components? I dunno.
    That or help the other countries get their stuff up in the ISS's orbit?

    I take a regular film camera with slide film, since I have a kodak slide projector with a top mounted slide charger (with cable remote!).

    No one ever shows up for my slide shows, however.

    Do other people bother to look at your digital travel photos and/or videos?

    what makes Robertson's better is that you can put a screw on the screwdriver and it'll stay there without falling at lower angles than the Philips... and the square shape is also less likely to fray, compared with the cross angles of the Philips.

    I'm working on modding my mountain bike, the same way people mod their PC cases... with come cool lighting from fossilfool.com and some strategically placed EL wire.

    I'd love to put a laptop somewhere on it, but I have yet to figure out what it should be used for, and I dont want to put wi-fi on it.

    the Robertson screws and screwdrivers are much superior.

    Besides, isn't methane dangerous??

    every year you read a few stories about how a worker got dizzy from the fumes and fell into a big tank of manure.

    that's gotta be one of the worst ways to die.

    after they pull the body out, the guy's funeral has to be either with a hermetically closed coffin, or incinerated to ashes in an urn.
