I think GNUCash has slanted a bit towards acountants
A few months ago I would agree with this, but after spending some time playing with GnuCash and reading the documentation, I must say that the double entry system is far better than anything else. I think software like this is like a linux system itself: might have a higher learning curve than the Joe Sixpack geared stuff (Windows & Quicken) but once you learn how to use it properly, the power and flexablity is amazing.
Their sales will pick back up if they calm down, release more titles for people who aren't 16-20 years old
I'm a member of that demographic and I think the music sucks. Shoot the backstreet boys and produce more quality music! (Yes, I know he's on a RIAA record label, but he still rocks)
As someone who switched from Mandrake to Gentoo about a year ago, let me share something from my experiance: The only other box I have around the house is an old 486. I didn't want to use this for the 3 or 4 days my box was compiling the gentoo stuff, so I did the vast majority of the compiling from a chroot inside my 'drake install. This may be a bit slower (overhead of xmms, mozilla, etc running while i'm using the box) but it allowed me to continue to use my box.
Might not be the best for your situation, but if you've got a limited number of boxes it's a nice option to have.
I've had PS 7 running in wine for a while now, it seems to work just fine for what i do (just basic editing, no fancy filter/plugin work, usually less than 30 layers) The only issue i've had with it is that my whole desktop goes black when i load image ready. As the dialogs appear the screen gets redrawn, but to get my taskbar (yeah... i'm a kde user...) to redraw i have to start xscreensaver.
I know this is off topic, but I think it is interesting anyway:
A couple months back I was poking around in the internet archive's movie section and found that the most popular film in the archive was directed by one of my relatives. I knew the guy, but had no idea that he did any film work, so thanks to the archive I learned a little about my family history.
People here don't usually have John Deere equipment in their house, but lots of people wear JD themed clothing. I've also seen JD furniture. (yes, people would rather sit on a steel tractor seat than a lay-z-boy)
Copyleft (such as GPL) is a copyright too. If someone releases something under the GPL they still retain the copyright but they are allowing others many rights to their creation (such as source access and right to distribute)
Copyleft, being a copyright, is more restrictive than public domain. Using the software example: if someone's code is under GPL I can intergrate it into my commercial app only if I then release my own code under GPL, but if the code is under public domain I can use it as my own in any purpose I wish.
...getting some tatoos, growing a goatee and copping an attitude was a great way to avoid being mugged
hmm, for some reason I doubt that my tatoo of Tux on my leg will prevent too many muggings..

So I guess that means that Scotland is next, right?

Finally a celebrity that I share a birthday with that I actually recognize. And DNS even responds to my requests....
Yeah, I learned more from reading the fortune at the bottom of this page than I got from that "review".

hideous? :)
Are you kidding? Here in Iowa that color (especially when paired with yellow) is very popular.
(Posted anonymously for obvious reasons) You got that one right
That was my point, if the government is going to be changing the copyright why not make it the least restrictive as possible?
but as always IANAL....
