95 % of this data comes from PUBLIC RECORDS, birth/death/marriage cert's, public tax records on ownership of land, etc... I am not sure about the laws outside the US but this data is mandated public access in the US, for a nominal handling fee. As for the insurance company example I can't argue with you there, but to expect a profit driven corporation to do anything else is naive in the extreme.
Maybe more sun but not more energy...Think about it, if you got more energy from the sun than California YOU'D be growing citrus, tomatoes, and grapes instead of carribou and glaciers.
valley or the bay area in california... My employer just settled a $16 million law suit regarding overtime for technicians. 2/3 of the 20,000 calif employees are now on time sheets, and due overtime. On a side note they've scheduled CLOSURE for 3 of the 5 CA centers already, and are studying the feasibility of moving the rest to KC Misery. Thanks go out to the CA legislature, we really needed the help.NOT
I've lost comp time, my 9x80 alternative work schedule, and now I suffer an additional tax burden because I work overtime, so uncle sam get a bigger slice of my pie...all in all this BLOWS
MUCH MUCH safer than using a credit card in a resurant. 70% of CC # theft and fraud can be traced to in-hand usage by a LIVE PERSON, out to rip you off. Next time you are in a your favorite bar or resturant, look closely at the help, odds are at least half of them are on the take somehow. This gives new meaning to your tip...
the store has installed it on one station, only one person can play it at a time. I am betting there is a clause for 'DEMO' purposes as well but I haven't the energy to search for it:)
it says if you don't agree take it back to the place of purchase for a refund. It seems like the makers are putting the onus on the sellers without giving them anything but grief for doing it, and as usual, the 'consumer' loses. The local COMP-USA, has a LAN game room, and for games in particular, they will either open one or already have it installed on a machine and will let you try it out...
LOL that is the truth of the matter, my pops is biatching about M$ Train Sim dragging A$$ on a 733, might be time to upgrade myself to a new athlon and start the hand me down wars. I really was not happy with my radeon 9700, went back to the Gforce 4600. I was hoping to hold out and get a 64bit opteron this year but things are looking pretty bleak for that...
you gotta see the rice burner car market out here(CA)...these guys spend more on paint than most of us spend on cars, then they really start working on sound systems...silly but I can't help admire some of the work.
Fiber to the house, a single machine or TV per coax, all laid new. If you are lucky enough to live in their service area they are EXCELLENT. Their service makes comcast, and at&t look STOOPID. We take phone, cable, and web from them at a very reasonable rate with a nice discount for multiple services. Our cable rate is 20% lower than at&t and 17% below comcast. There is absolutely NO COMPARISON between net services...ASTOUND wins in all measurable categories.
advertising stuff that most of us have no clue about or even a chance to buy. While US 'anime' is so blatantly a tandem advertising scheme for really bad toys.
online and not paying tax here in NorCal for a long time. I continue to seek out vendors that do not pay tax and will continue top do so. When I can't find one, I will start going back to the store and getting my instant satisfaction that way. Lazy am I, but more impatient am I than that. My online purchases have tapered off as shipping costs have grown to include the 'undefined' handling as well. As for shipping, I can do it at the post office for just as cheap and have it insured against damages at the same time.
P.S. WalMart in next to SATAN, just to the left of Disney in the Underworld Academy graduation photo.
or anyone else is a BAD THING. As your local cable/dsl provider gets a strangle hold on the market you can be sure the prices will GO UP not down. We are seeing it with cable TV already, in area's that ATT is a monopoly are already seeing a rise in cost while they CUT services...De-regulation is everybodies friend...NOT. SBC is already larger than it was before the government called it a monopoly and broke the bells apart...Thanks Bush
perception...distilled water tastes FLAT. There is a NEED for a certain mineral balance to provide that 'Water' taste. I am sure there is need for a certain amount of biological micro-organisms in the water/food which would manifest itself in long term problems..ie digestive issues due to lack of something basic in your digestive track, but I have no real proof of it:) As far as re-use goes read Dune, now there was a society that got over the recycle/reuse fear, mmm nothing like a big swing of recycled urine and sweat to take the edge off your thirst, gimme one of those stillsuits please:)
BTW Seth, My uncle was an engineer at a Sanitation plant as well. He lead tours that capped off with him pulling a glass of water from a tap in the final treatment tank and taking a big swallow....amazingly VERY FEW people would take the offered drink:)
primary focus by any means but why ignore the other platforms. Damn I REALLY WANT to play that game, but I don't see anything else out there worth playing on a gamecube:(
If some other companies started producing XBOX games, M$ would shrivel and die. No, I see what you are saying but the whole monopoly concept of consoles irritates me intensely. I guess I will just molder away with my PC. My only voice is my $$$'s and I will continue to not spend them on RIAA members products and console games.
for confining ANY game to just one platform. I'd love to play Metroid Prime but I am NOT buying a gamecube for it, I would PAY $$'s for a PC version, but alas they do not want my money. Halo is another that I won't be spending money on, any number of racing titles, what happened to cross platform standards ? Any game publisher MORONIC enough to limit the audience for their product to one platform deserves just what they get.. Let's face it, I am an avid gamer with a budget of about 200$ monthly, and I CAN'T FIND A GAME WORTH BUYING.
Did this help Perot or kill him ?:) If Bill Gates ran that would ensure that Larry Ellison did as well, if for no other reason than to keep up with BG...
going on, but the RIAA is pulling figures out their colon regarding piracy. They claim billion dollar losses, claim that EVERY blank cd is for pirate uses, claim that every mp3 unless proven otherwise, despite our constitution forbiding it, is stolen. Ever since cassettes came out the RIAA has been claiming the sky is failing, well chicken little is getting old, but enough $$'s will BUY some legislative love in the Good 'Ol USofA these days....
is pandora's box, and their diminshing expense business model almost ensures a continuing growth/profit downturn. QUESTION - How can you depend on a smaller subset of crappy music to support a more diverse and growing audience and still make a greater profit, with out Andersen Accounting 101.... ANSWER - you can't unless you can claim the losses due to an illegal act and get aid or a system slanted in your favor...
No system is secure if you have physical access. Most people have mastered locking their doors, locking their servers is a totally different matter. None of the solutions provided deal with physical access, only logical...
are you certified to decide what is wrong with my radiator ? What if, after you "help" me by fixing my car, the radiator explodes. Do I get to sue you for damages, or are you in jail, do I even KNOW you 'helped' me ? I can't help as a sysadmin intellectually agree with you, fix your stuff or it will get fixed, but there are many other questions that this brings to the surface.... A veritable pandora's box.

a custom color or change your mind after you buy the thing, thru and thru color means you are stuck with it for the life of the car.

I just use the google bar and don't even go to google anymore.....now that could be a slight problem with their model.
bottom line is more choices. That benefits all customers...
