    Not only does this not make any sense, the article was really poorly written. There is no way this system will be any more truthful than the lame one we use now. What this does prove it the morons ay college actually believe the crap they write...what a sad concept. It is like actually believing the commercials we see on TV...

    Do a tracert and see how many hops you make...

    Try looking at an SDSL connection and solve the asymetric problem :)

    I agree but there are very few games to play on my Linux machine and even FEWER people worthy of playing against. I use Linux for a dedicated server for UT, NWN, Quake, and as a firewall/email server, but I like to play NEW games, and I am NOT a coder, so waiting for someone talented enough to port the games really SUCKS :(
    I look forward to the day when games are coded for Linux before release. I payed for many Loki titles even though I'd played the games to death on my Windows machine just to try and help, poor investment strategy :(

    NAV is the standard at the place I work, for client stations. We use trend for servers and some other thing for exchange stores...Whole lotta scanning going on here

    How is this different from a streaming net radio station, I get what they stream or I try another station. I can also make requests via a realtime device similar in function to a phone, again, how is this different from radio ?

    I'm not putting my data online in Apples repository given the standard EULA I am going to have to sign. Otherwise this is standard Apple fare, normal services offered with a twist to try and appeal to the upscale who have more money than common sense. Apple hardware does some things great but unless they get out of the niche they are in, it is just a matter of time before they are trivial in the market.

We spent nearly a week debating this point in history class....This and maybe the popes' failure to allow Edward8 to have a divorce may possibly be 2 of the biggest turning points in history.

That only lasted from the revolution to the early 1820's when an ASSHAT judge from New York decided that corporations had RIGHTS, and since they have more money than you or I, naturally they have MORE rights than you or I.

    I've run into issue with IBM's web-sphere and terminal services not playing nice with each other as well. As a hardware monkey it got a bit thick for me, but needles to say the application installer was sitting in the lab freezing, and moaning at me.

    you can install the win2k terminal services client on even nt, but to 'really' run in application mode you need a license server and overhead that a home user is not likely to support.

    experience speaking. The bottom line is and always will be CASH for development. As long as MSIE continues to dominate the market, AND CONTINUES to effectively ignore standards, the smaller standards compliant browsers will suffer. It is a proven M$ merketing tactic.
