    God yes - and with Official support form Nokia to boot. You use the nokia pc suite to add new software, or in many cases you can install the software straight from the phone my browsing to the relevant web page.

    There are hundreds of apps available, from the standard google ones (maps, gmail etc.)

    There are also lots of pay-for apps, including 3D games and MS Office viewers available.

There were 3 battle modes - with the players either in Spaceships, tanks or on foot, of which only the spaceships version was available to start with. As I recall you had to complete every level on hard mode and earn a medal, just to unlock the tanks game, and to get the £rd person shooter game to unlock, you needed to get 100% on every level. I only knew one person who unlocked the tank mode, and noone I knew ever got to play the 3rd person shooter mode.

The best (and pretty much only) low cost home video server is an older pc in a nice big expandable case, with room for 4+ pata|sata drives, decent cooling and room for a hardware raid 5 card (preferably 3ware).     You still have the problem with the computer racers cheating;

    Well, its not really correct to say that Britain works in Imperial measurements.
    Certainly for road trips & other long journeys everyone would use miles. But everything else now pretty much has to be metric, thanks to our EU overlords.

    Shopkeepers have even been fined for selling bananas by the pound instead of kg.

    We also commonly measure peoples weight in Imperial measures - Stones & pounds, except for the medical profession. I personally don't have much

    And then theres pints - Milk & Beer( in pubs) come in pints, most everything else comes in litres and ml.
    Metric measurements are exclusively taught in schools in the UK nowadays, & I'm sure we will go metric eventually (but probably 50 years from now).

    I don't have a clue about the old Imperial weights & measures other than the ones I've mentioned, and I'd never use them unless I had to.
