Then I wonder which version of 4 you're running. Zone view hides everything, except for the zones of course.
Version 3000 still showed all that was not R, C or I in zone view.
The only thing I'm missing from 4 is the government buildings-only view. Now I can't hide the tall buildings to be able to get at that subway or bus station next to it. (and in my layout I have a lot of those)
VMware server... I'll have to pick specific updates and avoid those that modify the original unsigned driver loading option. I'm not going to use the 32bit version as having 4GiB would waste 1, and because it's for work running Vista is mandatory now.:-/
Too bad it seems the one hotfix in the list about file copy speed is one that needs a call to customer support.
I'm running Vista 64 on my laptop at work and so far have had no issues with installing 32 bit apps, so if you use the 64 bit version you don't really have to choose.
The only problem lies in apps that use device drivers like VMware server. For this I had to disable the certified driver check and prevent 3 updates from installing. This mandatory certified drivers crap is really another bad idea.
Use nlite to remove unwanted mess and integrate the drivers for your hardware into a new installation cd.
I haven't used it to integrate drivers myself, but removing useless crud makes a real difference.
It's less like shining a flashlight in your direction and more like shining it directly into your eyes while you walk down the street.
Exactly my thought when I read "It's just like having a flashlight vs. a light bulb". Shining a light in my eyes is irritating and if you keep on doing it I will make you stop, by force if neccessary, which would either end up destroyed equipment or a (class action) lawsuit.
here in the real world IE is downloadable for free
Okay, I downloaded it but how do I get it to install? I keep getting errors about what to use to open the.exe with and I can't find any help on installing it on FreeBSD, not even Linux.
All that Microsoft bashing, why!?
Ehm, you did mean Microsoft, right?
How many "tasks" can be performed in 1000 years?
