Yes, you need it. 64Mb or 32Mb will be enough. Even 4Mb will do. But you should have swap. I noticed that on systems with no swap, when a fork/malloc bomb occures (Soffice with some strange doc file) the system won't come back. With a little swap (1/3 of mem) some apps (the ones that will unsuccesfully try to malloc) will die (usually Netscape&X) and the system is back online. +++ATH0
