These MacBook have become so light, they don't even get close to the penetration value of a cinder block. I guess they would simply bounce of, without any damage to the windows (yeah, bad pun) at all. It's not like in the old days where a notebook weight 10 pounds plus (and an extra 4 for the mobile phone).
But they did kindly forget to tell ustream about that. Somewhat akin to getting license plates for your car and complaining the cops stopped you - even though you had the plates safely stored in the trunk.
While I mostly agree, the negative value of point two is somewhat lessened (in absolute value) by the fact that it is used only in their free service. Additionally they do have a method to tell them in advance that copyrighted material will be used in a legal way. The festival organizers on the other hand, neither paid, nor bothered to read the f*ing manual.
The idiots who where responsible for claiming the NASA feed on the other hand, should be forced to pay the amount necessary, to bring a working and transmitting camera to mars.
Shifting the blame by the use of facts, away from "big media" companies to (dumb) festival organizers, is not allowed around here. It relies on common sense, complete fact checking and considering both sides. Therefore it must not be tolerated and opposes groupthink. Sorry about that./sarcasm
Let's check facts first before we start ranting. Otherwise we (and our legitimate issues) look silly.
I'd say they got the image stabilization done a few years ago. I remember shooting videos with an N82 from horseback, which turned out rather nicely.
Hardware was never their biggest problem...
Every major expedition on a sailing vessel faced the "pack enough food" problem a few hundred years ago. If it where only "enough food" you could dig up some 17th century freight lists, add some vitamins and be good. The problems lie in weight, preparation, waste (what it comes in and what it comes out as) and stability/shelf life.
Nice try, but if there weren't any humans on board, the power budget would have already been much lower to start with. Therefore the power loss would still have seriously impacted the mission.
Machines make for cheaper space travel not only because the need less support, but also because you can afford to loose them.
Apple has never been a fan of cheap. Their products carry the undercurrent message "I can afford this", much like sports cars, suvs, rolexes and the like. They don't want everybody to provide cheap accessories to their products, because it diminishes the brand value.

Thank you Robin, that made my day.
Bacon is a very sensitive topic.
What do you think Americans are ... savages?
Isn't that exactly what we called the native Americans?
I think they refer to their defense of privacy by having the highest number of surveillance cameras per citizen of any western nation.
wrong thread? http://apple.slashdot.org/story/12/09/06/224253/chinese-students-say-they-are-being-forced-to-build-your-next-iphone

Why not grow plants on it? Natural fertilizer and such...
Once you lure out the Mars bears with the Mars bars, the food problem should be solved (given they brought along enough ammo).
Very nice turn of events would be, to leak the location of that overpass to the press instead of picking up the money.
I dare say that when it's in her mouth he already exploded...
you mean like this?

If it makes me grinning for more than a minute I am to assume I am not allowed to do it. (Yes I know this is not the original quote)
I was thinking of a bad joke that included the words "good time" "grinding" and "wife", but hereby refrain from writing it out.
As he holds the Guinness world record I would say, yes it has been measured.
That would be a good case of a "your mom is so big, that whales date her" joke. Well and elephants. ;)
Or scare it beyond the horizon...
Might they also say, "I hope she's an escort!"
If you can a ford it...
So we're back to H2O and CO2 exhausts from the slob who has to do the pumping.
