  1. something like that on Philips Introduces Mirror TV · · Score: 0

i have heard of something like that. a friend of mine has a tv that also acts as a computer monitor, and it had a built in dvd/cd player, and a built in tivo system. it was crazy. he works for a tv manufacturing company and him and his friends put it together.

  2. Re:Everyone's ducking responsibility on Violent Video Game Restriction Struck Down · · Score: 0

i agree. people now days care to much about what others think of them. therefore, anytime something bad happens, what do they do, blame the media or movies or games or the next door neighbor's dog. For example, the menendez brothers cut up their parents and then blamed it all on poor self-esteem and a lack friends growing up. people would rather complain and push blame than change themselves for the better.

i think your right. companies are always looking for new ways to gain access to consumer infomration and prefernces. this latest effort is a great example of real-time marketing. we'll see if it pays off.

  4. Re:They're All The Same on Do Online Schools Provide A Quality Education? · · Score: 0

I agree that many universities are just about paperwork and doing what is necessary to get their students the degree. but part of the college experience is facing challenges, struggling with life issues, becoming involved in the community/campus, making friends, and shaping your beliefs. that is something that online classes cant offer. you cant argue that sitting in your room on the internet is a good way to become an active, involved and social individual. online education is good for a few classes here and there. ones that would be pointless to take in class (health class). it is also a good way to add units to your course load without eating up large portions of free time. but online education is no substitute for the real thing.

  5. Re:fix sound, collision damage, THEN improve graph on Gran Turismo 4 Preview · · Score: 0

i agree that the sound should be fixed. as far as damage goes, i think it should be an option. some people may not like or may not be skilled enough to play with damage. if they at least make damage an option on the settings menu, everyone would be pleased. however, graphics have to be done first. because of their complex nature and the need to layer and texture graphics the process is very long. everything must be built around the graphics. sound and special effects are easier and less time consuming...plus they take up less memory on the game.

  6. Re:Which one to buy? on Palm to Buy Handspring · · Score: 0

i probably wouldn't buy either. it seems palm is buying handspring in effort to stimulate business growth. they had the first movers advantage when handhelds first came out, but competitors (handspring), soon copied and improved on palm's technology. the new tablet pc from gateway (i believe) seems pretty cool. if you're in to the all tools in one function, maybe check out the PDA phone.

  7. Re:RIAA has an ax to grind on Record Labels Sue Morpheus, Again · · Score: 0

they are also targeting college campuses. i know at my school, there was a school wide memo, letting everyone know of a possible suit from the RIAA and a pending investigation. it seems they are going to hit areas where there is high file sharing. the school tried to scare individual students, telling them they were in danger of being prosecuted if they were heavy users of file sharing.
