Fun? YES But also a good way to make sure that the system couldn't keep track of us or, gasp, advertisers figure out our buying habits. Sure you'd get a lot of ads for cars and underwear but not for free pr0n or ink cartritges
I've use portal too. I loved it but the cartographer didn't quite work. The problem was really with the mud. going n,e,s,w didn't always get you into the same room. That's confusing.
I've had the same quest myself. I've found that you have to know what you're really looking for to find it. If all you want is telnet with macros that's one thing. A GUI with macros, pattern recognition, mapping, auto responders, a scripting language and more si quite another deal. Both exist and they're both free and useful. I prefer the second.

Just ignore it all. Everyone is making such a big deal of spam. A simple filter get's it all for me and I've got my email in some odd places. Why don't you focus that animosity towards something more damaging like the fricken flyers on every lamp post saying "10K+ a month, part time, work from home"???
Now how is a 15year-old like me supposed to get a vote in if the systems aren't flawed? Anywho, if someone has enough energy to exploit the system then maybe they deserve to be heard. On the other hand, maybe they should focus that energy towards more constructive tasks.
In a few years when this is all over/. should compile the stories of p2p vs. riaa into a book. No author could write something so twisted and crazy as this.
I don't use auto run and I'm certainly not going to install software to listen to my music. I'll just mount it in linux, copy the files, the boot to windows, convert the files to mp3, then boot to linux and listen to my heart content. And if a song or two accidentally ends up back on a cd for my friends to borrow... Anywho, I don't see this as being a major deterant to copyright infringment.
to see the games and media software optomized for 64bit before I upgrade. Right now (to the best of my knowledge) getting a 64bit proccessor wouldn't do anyting for me unless I was using it on a server with certain specialized applications. Otherwise it's just more money.
I trust that my Linux box with all the security built in and added is safe but until this gets resolved and I can aplly a patch I've turned off ssh just to be safe. Thanks for the warning. My logs look clean.
about kids like me and my friends. And would you believe it, he's right. I never buy CDs. My friends buy some of them that they like. Many of my friends have the CD and an 'ilegal' mp3 version. Why? Because an mp3 player is still $50+ and doesn't, at that price, hold much music. So they have a CD version of everyting for school and travle and then an mp3 version for when they use the computer and want to listen to all their favorite songs. Well now, that doesn't hurt the recording companies now does it? What apperently hurts the company is when they download the music they didn't buy. But guess what happens when the do that. They either delete it if they don't like it or get the CD. So now how is this bad?
It's what you're expecting to follow previous words so other words/scrambled words aren't going to be a big problem and it should work in most if not all languages if it's your first language. Some languages may be writen differently and so they wouldn't quite work.

It's all based on predictability. If you don't REALLY know the language well then forget it.
Security problems are normal, but one after another like this. Sounds like MS.
yeah, the fix is to write yourself a script, or live with it, whatever is easiest.

If you don't like the humor, or how much it gets modded, then set the bonus for funny to -2 or -3.
Sorting through? Just set score filter to 3. Anyways, some people here might have some good comments or know of a client that's good but hard to find.

teachers already use p2p in the schools and 5th graders and up already know about it.

Me and my 20-30 gigs of missing space (yeah, i gotta lot of computers) want in on this one.
but then I'd have to kill you.

now all the paranoid people withing two miles of me will ask me to fix their computers every week to avoid getting busted.

FUNNY?!
This is a serious problem. Now we just killed one of our methods for eliminating spam.

I think the two letter combos can be broken but, like longer words, make it harder to read.
I'm only 15 and I hate it. Makes me overclock my brain and it's too damned hot here to do that.
nope. don't need then at all. In fact, this could be the next fad in cryptography, i don't see any problems ;)
