Blizzard could try to go after the guy for not complying with their EULA of reverse-engineering their software -- but how? He's never read the EULA because he used his own installer! Funny paradox.

They're pretty good, or as I have heard. They link their stuff to sources so you can check it out yourself. Some people say they have a liberal bias since they released a book called "Banana Republicans" which is not flattering to the party in question.

I have to admit though, it's difficult to find good non-biased political info on the net. Maybe the best thing would be to just read both sides instead and in that way make up your mind. It's tougher than just getting from one source, but I think it's the only good way right now...

The United States has 80 people per square mile.

Sweden has much less than both South Korea and United States, yet high speed broadband is very common. Hell, I live in a village that's about 200-300 people and I have 100mbit, up in the northen part of the country where the population per square mile is very, very low. The government payed a bit of it and gave us a tax relief while it cost every household about 2200-2000 dollars. I don't have IP telephony or internet video, but I know one of the major reasons we got it was because people wanted to download movies off of the internet (I'm serious). They even said when I asked about our bandwidth limit that "it's enough per day for you to download a movie or two". It's great to have really fast internet, but I think that the main reason why we got it is kind of shady... Even the Swedish guy from Eskilstuna in the Reuters-article is talking about downloading movies.

Got to go... Planning to download a movie! j/k

Ted Turner, the largest individual shareholder of the nation's largest media conglomerate, opposes proposed changes in Federal Communications Commission rules on media ownership that are generally seen as benefiting big players.

Turner, a director of AOL Time Warner Inc. in which he holds more stock than any individual, wrote an opinion piece in Friday's Washington Post saying he would not have been able to start his own media empire in 1970 if the proposed rule changes had been in effect then.

  17. Re:Moore and the truth on Moore Approves Fahrenheit 9/11 Downloads · · Score: 4, Insightful

Most of these claimed 'deceits' by Dave Kopel are really bogus. Many of them aren't deceits at all. The footage for example with Al Goore cheering that 'he won the presidency'. Yes, Michael Moore show the footage playing along with a scenario of 'what if Gore won' (I agree kind of constituting of a certain degree of a deceit, but continue to read my explanation). Michael Moore clearly says in the end of the segment it was all a dream and that Gore never won presidency. He expects the viewer to understand that Gore never won presidency, thus that the footage of Gore and his mates cheering could have never been for Gore when he won. He's not deceiving anybody; unless they've been living under a rock for the last four years and just left the theatre before that segment was about to end.

He also says on the Afghan pipeline-issue:

After Afghanistan was liberated from the Taliban, the new Afghanistan government did sign a plan to build an oil pipeline. Indeed, any Afghani government (Taliban or otherwise) would rationally seek the revenue that could be gained from a pipeline. But the new pipeline (which has not yet been built) has nothing to do with Unocal.

In that whole 'deceit' section he does NOT mention the Afghani president Hamid Karzai. Who is Hamid Karzai? Presdeint of Afghanistan! And what past does Hamid Karzai have? He used to work for Unical! Michael Moore says this in his movie, and this is a reversed situation where Kopel is being a hypocrite because he leaves this information out!

When the Incredibles teaser came out, I got eerie over the music in it. Why? Because I felt like they ripped off the music from somewhere else... Guess what? It's from the James Bond Tomorrow Never Dies Soundtrack. The "cool" song that play in this trailer is Backseat Driver (David Arnold featuring the Propellerheads) from Tomorrow Never Dies. I have no idea why they're recycling soundtracks. Maybe that's a starting trend...
