This is just a reflection of how polarized our society has become; it was accelerated post 1994, and 9/11 -> Iraq has sent it around the moon and back again.

The article really just re-enforces my thought that it doesn't really matter what news source you read at any point in time, as long as you are reading many different sources on every side of an issue [to the extent possible]. Then you can settle on the truth being somewhere in the middle.

but this is just bullsh!t no matter which side you are on:

If you want to find a solution, you cannot worry about what should be - you need to work with the hand you have been dealt, and come up with workarounds and new ideas to get around problems.

I would equate thinking that one day people will stop buying RIAA music to the idea many people have that as soon as we leave Iraq our problems will be solved...because neither idea is grounded in reality. It is way more complicated, and there is NO easy solution.

i like apple a lot, but this is really pretty worthless. since you can only control 5 playlists and the random mode, you'll have to go into your glove box to switch CDs. Rip a scratched cd with a gereric [not EAC] ripper and see what happens. It's not loss, but it still sucks. There is a reason a lot of people trade FLAC/SHNS as opposed to audio discs.
