In essence the original poster stated that Google forced his bank to only release on the play store. I disagreed with him and said that it was his bank's own decision. In stead of engaging me on that specific statement, you have rather opted to act like a troll.

Or maybe his bank doesn't want the headache of having to publish its banking app to multiple app stores or guaranteeing the authenticity of it's application on all those stores...I'm sure they have their reasons (valid or not). A lot of other banks don't seem to mind though and they have published on multiple stores (The Amazon App store is a good example) But if you want to believe that Google is blocking them from using other apps stores, then by all means, go ahead...

Are you stating as fact that Google is preventing your bank from publishing their app to the Amazon store (or any other android app stores)? Isn't it more likely the case that your Bank chose to only publish to the Play store?

Are you stating as fact that Microsoft is preventing your OEM from selling a computer with Linux (or any other non-Microsoft operating systems)? Isn't it more likely the case that your OEM chose to only sell and support computers running Microsoft operating systems?

Are you stating as fact that Microsoft/Apple is preventing companies from writing software for Linux (or any other non-Microsoft/Apple operating system)? Isn't it more likely the case that those companies chose to only write software for Windows/OSX? ..your point is?

We only have one Telecom called TELKOM and they are just about the most expensive telekom in the world. (http://www.hellkom.co.za/info.htm)

Every time you enquire about why they are so expensive they give the excuse that people in other countries have lots of other hidden costs they have to pay (yea right).

To get a 2.5 Mb fixed line from them would cost more per month then what I earn per year and I am not so unlucky with my salary then most in my country (third world)

Also my IE doesn't crash out as much as people seem to claim. Their PC's are probably riddled with spy-software and other "useful" utilities (or they visit really weird web-sites).

The scary thing is that people generally don't know about spy-software. These insidious applications can just about kill IE and even set back your PC's performance by about 3 years.

It's true what someone else on the forum said: Once Mozilla gains enough popularity you're going to see all kinds of weird things pop up (Ok...ok - They said something to this affect).

We used to mock Windows because it's literally a Virus haven (still is).

These days I don't just install things on my Linux boxes anymore because they might contain a virus - Something that never crossed my mind a few years ago.

I am also running Mandrake 9.1 on an Asus A7N8X and my PC works just fine. I even installed all the patches from NVIDIA's site for both my nForce2 chipset and my GeForce 3 screen card. (NVIDIA distributes RPM's directly for Mandrake 9.1)

The nForce2 chipset makes use of standards compliant technologies such as those that Linux supports. The NVIDIA rpm's just add additional support for SOUND,NETOWORK, GART etc.

I also love the way NVIDIA distributes these RPM's as self-executable installs.
